Growing, busy and always up-to-something boys. Here's some of what the boys have been doing since Oliver's birthday:. Lots of goofing and silliness in the backyard. We had a relaxing and quiet Christmas- the way we like it. This year was the first that Oliver managed to get up before us and sneak down to see what awaited him. We still managed to get coffee and breakfast before opening presents- we've decided this is our established tradition- that affords the adults a Christmas gift of a slow morning. Now we are six! At 6 Oliver is an intense and often extremely silly boy. Oliver mostly likes school, but complains there is not enough time to write in his journal, and he really wants to do more "real" math problems. He loves playing with numbers. He participates in the after-school chess club and an after-school sports program. Oliver still likes reading with mom and dad and is beginning to read more on his own.
