A Major Break: October 2015
http://amajorbreak.blogspot.com/2015_10_01_archive.html
Monday, 19 October 2015. Last stop - Mesnil Jumieges (Nathanial). After Paris we went back to one of the Aires where we started our adventure. We were here last November and said then that it would be great to come back in the hotter season. It's a great adventure park for the lads which meant we could finish on a real high for them, plus I managed to work on my sun tan some more. Tom was gutted he couldn't go on the super high ropes with Alfie, the junior ropes would just have to do. After catching a bu...

A Major Break: March 2015
http://amajorbreak.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, 22 March 2015. The two little cherubs! The palace itself is in Spain’s top 12 places to visit and it’s easy to see why. The Moorish architecture mixed with Roman design and a splash of well-maintained gardens made for a full day out. Not to mention the views from the top looking over Granada. Alfie trying his hardest to behave. Sixth attempt at the picture due to misplaced humour. 8221; and “Thomas – you’re dead! Grinning and bearing it. There's just no need for it. After being amused by the exhi...

http://nbthemanlyferry.blogspot.com/2015/08/back-to-boating.html
The 'Manly Ferry' blog. Summary of 2015 trip . Sunday, August 9, 2015. Our boaty friends had moored for the night at Somerton, so Elaine the dogs and myself walked from Aynho to meet them and cadge a lift back. Once again it was a lovely warm day for walking the towpath . We reached Somerton as our convoy came into view. Elaine and Bombo jumped aboard NB Ferndale, whilst Sammie and I jumped onto NB Festina Lente . First stop was Somerton Deep Lock. It was like Piccadilly Circus with boats everywhere.

The 'Manly Ferry' blog. Summary of 2015 trip . Monday, August 31, 2015. We Find Another Gem Of A Place. We said goodbye to the river Loire as we crossed it this morning and headed in a south east direction. The price of the fuel was good 74p a litre . It was a really lovely drive through lots of villages and small towns . This was the best bit, sunny and 30 degrees, the perfect temperature . The Aire is a free one and was located next to the war memorial and the Berry Canal . We can't believe we keep fin...

A Major Break: July 2015
http://amajorbreak.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Monday, 27 July 2015. Our next stop is the Grossglockner mountain which holds the Pasterze glacier. I never thought I would see an actual glacier, I thought I would only ever see these on the telly, so I'm pretty excited by this one. We arrive at our next campsite which is in the 'Hohe Tauern' national park. The roads have been breathtaking, and to finish off the scene, the campsite owner was wearing lederhosen! The Glossglockner High Alpine Road. It might be sunny, but it was getting chilly here. Now fo...

A Major Break: Paris (Nathanial)
http://amajorbreak.blogspot.com/2015/10/paris-nathanial.html
Monday, 19 October 2015. After getting the brakes fixed, we traveled through Germany for a week, stopping off at a few 'lidos' on the way. the heat was intense which for some reason I wasn't expecting here. We then reached our last major city, Paris. This is a stark reminder for me that we are very nearly home, which I'm dreading. I really don't want this adventure to end. This is the biggest pylon I've ever seen Dad! It's actually very similar to Blackpool tower. A view from the top. For any art lovers,...

The 'Manly Ferry' blog: I Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside
http://nbthemanlyferry.blogspot.com/2015/08/i-do-like-to-be-beside-seaside.html
The 'Manly Ferry' blog. Summary of 2015 trip . Thursday, August 6, 2015. I Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside. It was a lovely day to catch the bus down to Weymouth and join the throngs of pasty poms enjoying a day at the seaside. The beach was packed. Punch and Judy were having a break. We really liked it, it is a nice town. The bridge lifted to let some Gin Palaces back into the marina. Can't say I remember much else about the place. The boys liked it. The pub outdoor areas were packed. Its a pretty cool...

A Major Break: February 2015
http://amajorbreak.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 25 February 2015. We have all settled into life at Cabopino now, each enjoying our own little routines. Alfie is swimming most days and slopes off to reception to borrow the restaurant’s wifi at regular intervals. Tom is making the most of having found an English friend - Jack - to play with and they alternate between cycling, football and visiting each-other’s vans to play Lego, Moshi Monsters and board games. Scrabble lessons from Alfie. The all-important tongue for concentration. I wasn't a...

A Major Break: December 2014
http://amajorbreak.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 31 December 2014. This is Christmas 2014 (Beth). So there was no stress about buying gifts, cleaning the house ready for visitors or getting round the shops before the children broke up for the holidays. I didn't have to cook for extra people and I didn't have to spend three weeks telling myself that it would all be over soon. Actually, apart from missing being with a certain few people, Christmas was very relaxing! Our usual Boxing Day walk along Bournemouth prom was substituted by a walk alo...
