Our boaty friends had moored for the night at Somerton, so Elaine the dogs and myself walked from Aynho to meet them and cadge a lift back. Once again it was a lovely warm day for walking the towpath . We reached Somerton as our convoy came into view. Elaine and Bombo jumped aboard NB Ferndale, whilst Sammie and I jumped onto NB Festina Lente . First stop was Somerton Deep Lock. It was like Piccadilly Circus with boats everywhere.
