Mozambique mission blog

Wednesday, September 28, 2011. Today will mark our eighth full day of teaching in Nicoadala, as well as our last full day. Picture will be up later* *. Please, take a moment, and pray for Pastor Olympio. Now the really fun/awkward stuff starts. Song of Songs! This book is hard to teach to American’s.let alone a group of pastors who I hardly know, in a different language, and a culture still very foreign to me. So, it was hard! Haha It was more the poetic structure that really had these guys confused....

Mozambique mission blog: Days 7

http://mozambiquemission.blogspot.com/2011/09/days-7.html

Thursday, September 22, 2011. Which will mark our third day of teaching here in Nicoadala. Keeping true to my word.this is a local pastor that almost everybody that has come to Mozambique and worked with John should know. His name is Sobrinho, and he is one of the most sincere and caring men that I know. Sobrinho was with Jeremiah when he passed away, and still has scars to show it. He is a husband, father, and just all around great guy. I'm getting all cheesy.I'll get back to the day. Mid-way through th...

Mozambique mission blog: Day 11

http://mozambiquemission.blogspot.com/2011/09/day-11.html

Sunday, September 25, 2011. It's hard to believe that I'm only here for another two full days :/. Please, take a moment and pray for Carlito. Why does that matter? Because Muslim's love goats", John replied. And that was my only explanation, haha. Once we got to the village, the first thing I noticed was the sound of crashing waves and the cool breeze. Most of the village was out at the preaching point to greet all the visitors, so we drove up to loud voices and a rhythmic drum beat. After church, we too...

Mozambique mission blog: Days 1-4

http://mozambiquemission.blogspot.com/2011/09/days-1-4.html

Sunday, September 18, 2011. Oh my, where to begin on this post. He said, "LAM tried to kill me. I've only crashed one airplane, and that was because of LAM". I then told him we were flying on LAM tomorrow.then thanked him for the wonderful story. Nothing like a good near death crash story to increase your prayer life! She told me, "It's not 6:00am, it's 2:30 so go back to bed" she then hung up! John gave me my material that I had written for the OT course, it came out to 128 pages front to back. He a...

Mozambique mission blog: Day 6

http://mozambiquemission.blogspot.com/2011/09/day-6.html

Tuesday, September 20, 2011. This will be the second day of teaching here in Nicoadala. Please pray for Toni. During the breaks I am trying to break away from John to be around the local pastors more. This proves a challenge since I hardly speak a word of Portuguese, and it's also horribly out of my comfort zone. During the first break I was mostly around Sobrinho, and he was very patient and told me how to say, "Can I take your picture? In Portuguese.this took about a half-hour, haha. Rick took the seco...

The Ultimate Tour and Corporate Travel Specialists. I just returned this afternoon from Accra and wanted you to know that we had a fabulous trip. Thank you again for planning our wonderful adventure. Unfortunately the Bakatue festival ended up not happening, but it did not matter at all! We were given plenty of alternative ways to spend our time. The guides were most helpful and friendly as were the people in Accra. I’m happy to say my tour was all positive! AAA Travel Sales Specialist Charlotte, N.C.

At the end of it there is a link to Part Two. Posted in Mission to Mozambique. July 18, 2008. Last night I dreamed of children.
