I discovered Skype and the possibility of linking my classroom with others around the country on a snowy day in February. In the 3 1/2 months between that day and the end of our school year, my 3rd grade students and I Skyped with 17 different states, 3 countries, and 3 times with authors. It was an incredible learning experience for both myself and the students!
