Throughout the past couple of weeks, we have been solving story problems using double digit addition and subtraction. Sometimes we are required to regroup the numbers as well. Therefore, the place value of each number is important to understand. For example, in the number 23; the 2 in this number represents 2 tens and the 3 represents 3 ones. From time to time, ask you child what particular numbers represent. Encourage counting forward and backward by 2,5,10. Create a free website.
