Then we spoke about multiples. Multiples are basically the answers to the times tables. Eg Write down the first 6 multiples of 6. Ans: 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, 36. Then we multiply 23 x 40 =920. Then we multiply 23 x 5 =115. Then we add both answers. 920 115 = 1035. Here are some success criteria to keep in mind when revising Long Multiplication:. Do I have to multiply by a 2 digit number? Am I separating one of the numbers into Tens and Units? Am I multiplying by the Units?

Remember to write down any useful information. When you have information about 1 item and you want to find of many, you multiply. 1 box has 25 jars.
