MudPuddle: Wheel of Prizes
http://mudpuddle2.blogspot.com/2015/04/wheel-of-prizes.html
This week I let the kids spin my Wheel of Prizes. This is a fun game to use when you've forgotten to plan something for the week! I placed numbered cards on the chalkboard and when the kids spun the wheel, whichever number they landed on, they would identify the number and match it to the card on the chalkboard. The song was written on the back of the numbered card. The kids loved this game and everyone wanted a turn! It makes a fun clicky sound as the wheel spins too! QuickFind: Games for Repeating Songs.

MudPuddle: Loose Lips
http://mudpuddle2.blogspot.com/2013/07/loose-lips.html
Our focus for this week's activity was gossip; in that we should NOT gossip. I used this. For most of the lesson, as well as a glitter activity (try to get the girls to pass glitter down a line without losing ONE piece of glitter.liken it to gossiping and how once it leaves your mouth you cannot control the words). For our activity, we made homemade lipgloss! We finished the activity with some CryBaby bubble gum! The girls LOVE hands on activities at every meeting. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

MudPuddle: VT Handout ~ January
http://mudpuddle4.blogspot.com/2013/01/vt-handout-january.html
This month (January 2013), the Visiting Teaching message revolves around missionary work. One of the scriptures that caught my attention was about laboring in the Lord's vineyard. So, I took that idea and ran with it! My original idea was to tie these little cards to miniature bottles of Martinelli's Sparkling Cider that I saw at the dollar store. Wouldn't you know it.they only carry them during Christmas. So, I bought some grape juice instead. It still worked out well. Enjoy!

MudPuddle: The Three Bears of Baptism
http://mudpuddle2.blogspot.com/2013/04/the-three-bears-of-baptism.html
The Three Bears of Baptism. Today for AD, we are talking about baptism. Sugardoodle had a cute story about the Three Bears of Baptism. And we thought we'd work around that. The story focuses on the three "bears" we promise in our baptismal covenant. I bought some Teddy Grahams for the girls to snack on while we discuss the story and then I made each of them their own crocheted teddy bear! I love how they turned out. Sooo adorable! MudPuddle: No Place Like Home
http://mudpuddle2.blogspot.com/2013/05/no-place-like-home.html
No Place Like Home. This week, we focused on our journey home to our Heavenly Father and the Celestial Kingdom. We related it to the Wizard of Oz. Each character (or location) represented someone (or something) in our lives. The girls were really into the lesson and were calling out the answers faster than we could ask questions sometimes. Hahaha. Jamie downloaded the Wizard of Oz clipart pack from Melonheadz Illustrating and used that for the lesson. Didn't they turn out adorable! Prophets Then and Now.

MudPuddle: Prophets Then & Now
http://mudpuddle2.blogspot.com/2013/03/prophets-then-now.html
Prophets Then and Now. We started with King Benjamin who talks about serving others. For this we chose the serving plate. Next, we will talk about Samuel the Lamanite who foretold the Savior's birth. We're using mini flashlights to represent the new star. After that, we will talk about the prophet Joseph Smith Jr. and his revelation on the Word of Wisdom. Granola bars, baby! So we will read D&C 138:54. Which talks about serving in the Lord's vineyard, which includes missionary work. Prophets Then and Now.

MudPuddle: Mosiah Moment
http://mudpuddle2.blogspot.com/2013/01/mosiah-moment.html
In addition to reciting an Article of Faith and the Gospel Standard we are working on that month at each meeting, we're also doing a "Mosiah Moment". The girls will be asked if they'd like to share something they learned or read about during their personal scripture study. If they share, they get a treat. We want to encourage them to study their scriptures on their own. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Prophets Then and Now. The Three Bears of Baptism. Welcome to Activity Days! What is a Princess.

MudPuddle: What's Good on a Sundae?
http://mudpuddle2.blogspot.com/2013/08/whats-good-on-sundae.html
What's Good on a Sundae? This week we talked about the Sabbath Day. Jamie started out with a lesson on keeping the Sabbath Day holy and the girls talked about what activities are good to participate in on the Sabbath. Jamie brought out some condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayo, Ranch dressing, etc.) and we asked the girls if they liked these things. The conversation went along these lines:. Who likes Ranch dressing? Let's put some on our ice cream! Yeah, but not on ice cream! Prophets Then and Now.

MudPuddle: "Come, Follow Me"
http://mudpuddle2.blogspot.com/2015/07/come-follow-me.html
Come, Follow Me". This month the children are working on learning the Hymn "Come, Follow Me" for the upcoming Primary Program. It's always tricky to find a new way to teach a song every month. This time, I found some helpful ideas/links through Sugardoodle! The question's for the shoes are:. You just lost the very last game at your soccer tournament. Players from the other team come by to tell you good job, you feel mad and disappointed, what would Jesus do? Your little sister wants to play Legos with yo...

MudPuddle: The Empty Pot
http://mudpuddle2.blogspot.com/2013/06/the-empty-pot.html
This month's Gospel Standard is "I will be honest with Heavenly Father, myself, and others." For this activity, we started out with our opening exercises, welcoming our newest addition, Miss "S" by reading her "All About Me" sheet. My amazing partner in crime. She's so crazy! She was in charge of taking pictures while I read the story and I found this on my camera. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Prophets Then and Now. The Three Bears of Baptism.
