On an Illustration Adventure. IF – suspend. July 13, 2012. July 13, 2012. After doodling a page full of balloons and marionette puppets, the image that I couldn’t get out of my brain was of Judy – that silly, desperate look in her eyes when she makes a flying leap from ottoman to sofa….and the ottoman starts to slip…. Gardening with a Not-So-Angry Redhead: The ULTIMATE Tomato Hoop House Trellis of Death and Dismemberment
http://notsoangryredhead.blogspot.com/2012/04/ultimate-tomato-hoop-house-trellis-of.html
April 11, 2012. The ULTIMATE Tomato Hoop House Trellis of Death and Dismemberment. Perhaps the title is a little dramatic, but this is a killer trellis that the Adam and I did this past weekend. The hoop house was about $100 in materials (all purchased from a big box store), which certainly seems like a lot, but this thing is BIG! It's about 7' wide, 10' long, and 7' high. 1 1/4"x10' UV resistant electrical pvc pipe (x3). 3/4"x10' UV resistant electrical pvc pipe with connectable ends (x10). Span the wir...

http://dianestexasgarden.blogspot.com/2012/05/my-onion-harvest.html
Living and Gardening in the South Texas Hill Country. Tuesday, May 15, 2012. I didn't plant anything in my spring garden this year except three sets of Texas 1015 sweet onions. Well I harvested them over the weekend and what a harvest! For having done nothing but plant them and water them, here's what I got! And I intend to bring all of them to Michigan with me. I sure hope my family up north likes onions :). May 15, 2012 at 1:59 PM. 1015s make all the difference. So delicious! May 15, 2012 at 8:50 PM.

Argyle Braveheart | Women Who Run With Delphiniums
https://linniew.wordpress.com/dog/argyle-braveheart
Women Who Run With Delphiniums. Because gardening is too important to be taken seriously. Max had a friend over. A kind of cousin really, by the name of Argyle Braveheart. He goes by “Argie” and is a Cairn terrier. (Max is a West Highland White terrier.). It took a couple of days for Max and Argie to kind of get acquainted. Max talks to Argie a lot about how much fun it is to chase a ball, but Argie prefers to chase Max chasing a ball than to chase the actual ball. Max is still trying. Oh ‘berta yo...

Scratch and Peck: Sick Chicken - or - the things we do for love
http://scratchandpeck.blogspot.com/2012/10/sick-chicken-or-things-we-do-for-love.html
True stories of a small flock of remarkable individuals - and other critters. Friday, October 19, 2012. Sick Chicken - or - the things we do for love. Fern had a rough summer what with her molt and the endless soggy hot days. Pigeon spent a lot of time standing beside her. Maybe I should have paid more attention. Pigeon knew that Fern was ill. But Fern kept to the back of the coop, so I pretty much left her alone. I bathed Fern in Epsom salts. After the bath, Fern sat on her haunches. I didn’t want...

Scratch and Peck: LilyLove
http://scratchandpeck.blogspot.com/2014/03/lilylove.html
True stories of a small flock of remarkable individuals - and other critters. Saturday, March 15, 2014. A few weeks back, I went over to my friend Terry Golson's house for a visit, and to congratulate her on the publication of The Farmstead Egg Guide and Cookbook. I love to hang out at Terry's house. Her kitchen always smells of fresh baked treats, and she makes a great cup of coffee. Marky loves to visit, too, but Terry's dog Lily stresses him out a bit. Because Lily adores Marky. But soon she found him.
