Race for Life on Mull. A quick ‘heads up’ for next years ferry fares. Road Equivalent Tariff comes in from 26th October 2015. This means MUCH cheaper fares. Bring your car over for about 24 return and stay for a couple of days instead of rushing back off the island for the 5pm ferry. The weather in Tobermory.

Race for Life on Mull. The Santa Dash was held for the first time this year 2012 on the Sunday before Christmas. This is likely to be the same Sunday each year as the event was extremely popular with over 50 people taking part. Visitors and Local are welcome to take part. The Santa Suit is provided in the entry fee, as is a wee dram and mince pies in the MacDonald Arms afterwards. The weather in Tobermory.

Race open to 15yrs and over, same race for all entrants. Cost 20 per solo competitor and 45 for a team entry. 400m swim (24 lengths), 10 Mile Cycle and 2.5 Mile Run. On Sunday 30th July, 1978 the first game of rugby was played and won on the Isle of Mull. Shortly after this Mull Rugby Club was founded. The Club has thrived under what can only be described as arduous conditions. The answer to why rugby is popular on Mull is historical. The Island secondary school was previously a Junior High School. Many local children attended mainland schools where rugby was strong. Mull Rugby Club was a base for rugby enthusiasts from all over the Island. Has been set as Saturday.
