Monday, January 24, 2011. A couple weeks ago (while we were on vacation) Turtle tore his dew claw and had to make a trip to the emergency clinic. They were very good to him and gave him a special bandage that matched his leash. Duncan was very concerned about his brother (when he wasn't busy treating the bandage like a new toy). Saturday, May 29, 2010. Turtle turns two on June 2nd, so we had a little garden party last night to celebrate while the whole family was together. On the menu were Apple Crunch Pupcakes ( recipe courtesy of Preston's blog. With peanut butter and cream cheese frosting (Turtle's favorite part). We made Turtle wait to blow out the candles until we all sang to him (our family has some particularly talented singers, so Turtle really enjoyed the serenade). What a great birthday! Saturday, May 7, 2011. A day at the races. It has been way too long since I've posted! April was a busy month with finals and graduation. Everyone is now unwinding and looking forward to a carefree summer. Here are some photos from Tyler's half marathon last weekend in Pickney, Michigan. Turtle appointed himself "Medal Master" and picked out the best one for his dad. Tyler's mom even joined our cheering section and had fun keeping Turtle and Duncan way from the other canine cheering squads.

Tuesday, December 14, 2010. Holiday bling from cousin Maggie. Turtle and Duncan had a holiday party last night, which meant they got to wear their new holiday bling from cousin Maggie. Monday, March 7, 2011. Favorite things: The treat lady's chairs. Turtle and Duncan spent a week at my parent's house while Tyler and I jetted off to Mexico for Spring Break. They have started affectionately referring to my mom as "the treat lady" and hope to return to her house very soon. I'm sure they spent most of the week in their favorite chairs. Sunday, August 22, 2010. First dog park trip together. Duncan, Turtle and I arrived back in Ann Arbor this week. We were very excited to get re-settled in our apartment and go to our local dog park. Duncan held back with me while Turtle made his usual rounds. Turtle checked back often to make sure everything was o.k. and to get Duncan up to speed on dog park etiquette. Then Duncan felt brave enough to go explore on his own! Then it was back home for a nap on the cool kitchen floor. Sunday, August 1, 2010.
