Talkin' to Myself: Trip of a Lifetime- Day 5 (aka cheese and chickens)
http://musingmueller.blogspot.com/2015/08/trip-of-lifetime-day-5-aka-cheese-and.html
A Blog about my days. Saturday, August 1, 2015. Trip of a Lifetime- Day 5 (aka cheese and chickens). Our sightseeing today was something I really wanted to do. In researching (Googling) I found that near St. Affrique was the town of Roquefort. Yup, THE cheese. We bussed out early for this little town and saw some great scenery along the way. But when we got to Roquefort our bus driver informed us (thank heaven one of us spoke Spanish! Thank you, Delia! We are a gritty bunch! So she takes us the room wher...
Talkin' to Myself: May 2014
http://musingmueller.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
A Blog about my days. Friday, May 23, 2014. One of the things I do to save what is left of my sanity is sing. The other thing that I do is jigsaw puzzles. I have posted some before. But I don't think I have done a thousand piece puzzle that has taken me two months to complete. I even had to walk away from it for a couple of weeks because I was getting so frustrated. But it is a beautiful puzzle and I really wanted to get it done. Last night I finished it. Thursday, May 22, 2014. Last month, the last paym...
Talkin' to Myself: Trip of a Lifetime- Day 11
http://musingmueller.blogspot.com/2015/08/trip-of-lifetime-day-11.html
A Blog about my days. Thursday, August 6, 2015. Trip of a Lifetime- Day 11. The Ruiz family as we wait to sing. Our day was to begin at 11am. We would be singing in the Adult Mixed Choir category. We were told that 1) we could change at the venue and 2) that a guide would arrive in time to escort us to the venue. All we knew was the name of the venue. Cenacolo di Sant'Apollonia. No address was given. A change in the program. The changing room that became a staging room. At least there was shade. The venu...
Talkin' to Myself: August 2014
http://musingmueller.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
A Blog about my days. Thursday, August 28, 2014. I had the great fortune of growing up in a town that cared about education. My parents cared, my friend's parents cared, and, above all, the teachers cared. I am very thankful for that. But I have never told the stories (at least here) about some of those teachers and what they instilled in me. Daphne du Maurier is the first that comes to mind. Then the Bronte sisters and even a touch of Virginia Wolf. Donde esta la bana (or el bano)? Thank you, Jesse.
Talkin' to Myself: Trip of a Lifetime- Day 8 and 9
http://musingmueller.blogspot.com/2015/08/trip-of-lifetime-day-8-and-9.html
A Blog about my days. Monday, August 3, 2015. Trip of a Lifetime- Day 8 and 9. And it was goodbye to Marseille. We didn't get a chance to actually visit the city. Two concerts and on to Italy. We left early like 8 or 9 am and people were a little cranky. It was still hot (although it was really nice to sleep in air conditioned rooms! And it looked like a long ride to Genoa. Views from the bus. One of these is Monaco but I don't know which one! Waiting to get our luggage from the bus. We had gotten the sc...

Kaleidoscope of Images | Musings, Fashion, Mood swings and Tittle Tattle!
Musings, Fashion, Mood swings and Tittle Tattle! Happy Holi (belated… Like they say, better late than never). 8216;Feeling Spring-Forward’. The phrase ‘paint it red’ some how feels apt today…. I sit today somehow not missing the flavor and exuberance of one of the festivities I celebrated in my homeland. It gives me reason enough to express the feeling in my own way. To more such festivities, color and peppiness…. I wish everyone a lot of joy, happiness and health. Of new memories and old bonds. 8216;Lov...
Morning Musings | Devotional Thoughts in Following Christ
Devotional Thoughts in Following Christ. November 8, 2016. November 8, 2016. There is a trend that I’ve noticed a little more recently than I had ever noticed before. I don’t know what to call it, other than “Christian Satanism”… Essentially, it’s when Christians speak, think, or act in a manner that gives homage to Satan, as if he has any legitimate credence what-so-ever. How about I give a few examples, first more popular, and then from there some of the more fanatic things…. Let me spell it out for you.

Musings from Mrs. Galvan
Musings from Mrs. Galvan. I am blogging my thoughts on teaching math and on promoting social, emotional wellness among my students and colleagues. I am a fan of having students create digital portfolios in math, and I am blogging about what I am learning along the way. What I'm up to. Wednesday, October 12, 2016. Revamping Student Blogging in Math. My algebra and geometry students have been creating digital portfolios. My theory was that blogger would be the house for my students' reflections. In additio...
Talkin' to Myself
A Blog about my days. Saturday, November 11, 2017. I met the guy in the front row of this picture in 1990. He was a retired Marine aviator. He retired as a "full bird colonel". He was sitting in a plastic chair in a hospital room visiting his very ill wife. He had his legs crossed and his arms crossed over his chest. The body language alone told me to be VERY careful with this guy. This time she was on a ventilator and could not speak. But the men in the room kept asking her open ended questions! It was ...

Musings about life with 3 kids, writing, books, travel, food and pretty much anything else. From Thirties to Forties. February 13, 2014. Birthdays can be a time to reflect and look forward, to evaluate the choices we make and the life we are living. This is especially true of the decade markers. hamishandbethsmumma's Blog | One mumma's musings on motherhood & life
One mumma's musings on motherhood and life. Being mumma enough… It’s more than just a “healthy baby”. As a mumma who grieves her births and a mumma who frequently discusses birth I often hear the phrase “but you have a healthy baby”. I know that when it is said it is usually from a place of genuine good intention. I know that the person saying it means well. I know that what that person has said is true. The world needs to realise that the bouncing healthy beautiful baby nestled in her breast may in fact...

Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. March 15, 2018. A year ago my sister got married. I helped plan and execute her reception, which I may talk about in another post. I had bitten off more than I could chew and time was running out. I realized I needed to find something to wear to the wedding so I looked through my closet. Continue reading →.
