http://missionbound.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Returning to Japan, the adventures never cease. Saturday, December 29, 2012. How to enjoy Lemon Liquor:. Step 1: Go to the store and buy it. Have a landlady, a lemon tree, and a sense of adventure. Oh, and a DIY fruit liquor kit also helps a great deal. The jar comes filled with "white liquor." I don't know; I didn't ask. But according to a website I read, any clear alcohol will do. The author prefers grain alcohol to vodka, but accepts vodka as the easiest option. And then we wait. Next to Tokushima is ...

http://missionbound.blogspot.com/2013/07/the-summer-sweat-situation.html
Returning to Japan, the adventures never cease. Wednesday, July 17, 2013. The Summer Sweat Situation. Then I moved to Tokushima, where summer begins around 3 April, and lasts until approximately 17 November. After that is autumn, and then spring. If I remember correctly, last year winter was on a Sunday morning. Even all this is would be endurable, but for one small detail: When I arrive at work, I am supposed to be professional. How am I supposed to look (and smell) clean during such a summer?

Returning to Japan, the adventures never cease. Tuesday, November 06, 2012. Where my stomach calls home . When I was six years old, my grandmother informed me that my breakfast choices - cheese, summer sausage, and crackers - were more suited to breakfast in Germany than the U.S.A. 12 years later I made my first pilgrimage to the spiritual home of my stomach. It should come as no surprise that visiting Germany did nothing to satiate, but merely whet me for more. Note the healthy vitamins in this wine ; ).

Display showing five of the eight different types of sea turtle. The museum overlooks a beach, a place where turtles come to shore every summer to lay their eggs. Today it ...

Returning to Japan, the adventures never cease. Thursday, February 21, 2013. One Year in the Life of a Tokushima Field: January. I have a new project for the year. Over the past few months, I have been contemplating a photo essay which would be consistent over the course of a year. It seems like a great way to keep readers engaged and allow me to show off my home. Because I am too lazy to do "365 Days of Japan," like my friend Bobbi (she has a great collection of photos, but I would never keep up! Masata...

Returning to Japan, the adventures never cease. Thursday, April 04, 2013. Here's how the conversation began:. David: Do you want to go hiking with some friends? Me: Sure (My brain's reasoning: Hiking is walking, and I like to walk). Editing for content after the hike: Hiking is only like walking when I hike by myself. And then it's not actually hiking.
