Jenny on the Blog! Thursday, March 05, 2009. My little 3 year old! Ashley Sophia Allen turned 3 on March 3rd! For her "magic" birthday, we had a little princess party. Her cousin, Brooklyn came over and so did her friend, Anna. They wore several different versions of the "princess" dress. Lots of wardrobe changes. They played, decorated crowns and wands, ate cake and everybody had a good time. Ashley loved the whole day! Brooklyn and Ash. (Somebody tell the b-day girl to "pick" a winner).

Sunday, August 15, 2010. Hopefully, you have seen the movie. With Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon. It's a pretty good movie. I haven't heard how Nelson Mandela is in real life, but Freeman portrays him as probably the most Christ-like leader I have ever seen depicted in film. It was pretty inspiring to me. The poem, by the same name as the movie, by William Ernest Henley, is referenced several times in the movie. While Mandela was incarcerated on Robben Island, the poem. I thank whatever gods may be .

Monday, March 21, 2011. Random Pics of the boys. Some random pics of the boys. Here's at the zoo in the snake slide. Connor had skating at his Kindergarten every day for a week. Bruce would go to help out and Coleman kept busy playing in the snow. Connor and his Gr 6 helper. Donna had a skating party at her house, well actually it was Seamus and Kate's idea. The boys were outside skating for about 2.5 hours and it was -15 out! They were having so much fun! Maybe we can have a rink in our yard next year?

Wednesday, September 30, 2009. Connor started preschool this month. It's so cute to see him go to school with his backpack and snack bag! Now when he goes out he likes to bring a little cooler with snacks. These pictures were all on his first day! We took these pictures with the timer. Sunday, February 5, 2012. For Thanksgiving we decided to head out to Bryson City, North Carolina and spend the holiday in the Great Smokey Mountain National Park. We met up with some friends, the Piepgrass family. We stayed in a great little cabin and had a great time RELAXING. Exploring around outside the cabin. Next year we'll have to make it out earlier for the leaves. Claire modeling infront of our cabin. Hiking. the weather was beautiful. At the General Store. Maybe someday we can afford to go there!
