Mutterings from The Muse

Mutterings from The Muse. Friday, 3 February 2012. Cat and mouse tales. Totter jumping would have made it to You Tube. One day my mother looked across the garden and spotted Friska's sweet little face appearing out of one of the little doorways of the neighbour's very new dovecote. Moments later the cat returned, lovingly bringing back a present. There then followed the trauma of returning the corpse to be told that they were 'very special' and EXPENSIVE doves. Mutterings from The Muse: Motorbikes

http://www.mutteringsfromthemuse.blogspot.com/2012/01/motorbikes.html

Mutterings from The Muse. Monday, 30 January 2012. Years later a friend turned up on my birthday to offer me a ride on his Harley Davidson. He had proudly painted it to look like a horse, dappled grey with leather trimmings. It did look quite impressive but how was he to know that my affinity with horses was the same as motorbikes? Why is it that when we are abroad all commonsense about health and safety is abandoned? He asks. "No thanks," I reply "we've got a bike.". Mutterings from The Muse.

Little Old Man Weekly. Last word on nothing. Ant and Kate bike trip. Late in 2008 I took on one of the village allotments and this is a pictoral record year by year. I have had to split it as it was beginning to get slow to load due to the number of photographs. Each year can be accessed from menu bar. Below are photographs taken before I started work on the allotment in November 2008 and the same view in Spring 2009. View from the bottom 2008. The same view Spring 2009.

Little Old Man Weekly. Last word on nothing. Ant and Kate bike trip. I like walking, and you certainly do enough of it when you live and work in London. So a fitting end to my working life, I thought, would be to walk home from Canary Wharf to Oakley. My account of that journey can be found in the Walking home. I actually thought that when I retired I would do more long distance walking, such are the dreams of the newly retired! Pics of the Shard in progress. And an article about it. I had another look a...

Mutterings from Africa | An enterprise journey

Unlocking the potential of mobility in Africa. April 12, 2013. By Mutterings from Africa. And tagged Enterprise Mobility. I believe that Africa represents the greatest Enterprise Mobility opportunity for any network operator anywhere in the world today, it is one the last great opportunities, all MNCs are waking up to Africa, they are economically challenged in their traditional markets and are now looking for ways to sustain and grow their own organisations. On the demand side Less than 5% of MNCs have ...

Skip to main content. Skip to secondary content. On thoughts and adventures. January 1, 2014. So the job search is underway! David and I decided not to take the job at a very prestigious school because it is far outside of the city so I hope that we didn’t just make a big mistake. I would have liked working for them, despite never having seen the school or the curriculum, but we would have had to live in a suburb again and that is not why we moved all the way across the world. Mutterings from the South

Mutterings from the South. I'm 27 years old, a husband, a father and a UNISON Branch Secretary, in that order. I have, on occasion, been accused of being a lefty, I will leave you to draw your own conclusions. Oh, and this blog is entirely in a personal capacity and nothing to do with UNISON! Tuesday, 12 January 2010. Well, I'm glad that's over. And I'm not talking about Christmas! It's been a while since I've blogged, and there are some very good reasons for that, in my personal opinion at any rate.
