One can say everything best over a meal. Sunday, February 22, 2015. These are my husbands favorite cookies. Makes about 50 cookies. They are soft and moist and the almond frosting makes them delightful. 5 1/2 cups flour. 2 tsp baking soda. 1 1/2 tsp salt. 1 1/2 tsp cloves. 2 1/2 cups brown sugar. 1 1/2 cups apple sauce. Note- I line the cookies sheets with parchment paper and sometimes I can raisins (about 1 1/2 cups). After they cool frost each cookie:. 8 ounce cream cheese, softened. 1 cup sour cream.
