Agenda and Minutes Archive. Total Maximum Daily Load. For fiscal year 2016-17 the MWMC President is Springfield City Councilor Joe Pishioneri and Vice President is Lane County citizen Bill Inge. The Commission provides oversight to the facilities and guidance to staff, establishes policies, sets goals and regional wastewater rates, oversees the facilities budget, approves capital projects, and grants contracts to consultants and construction companies. Picture coming August 2016.

Members of the public are encouraged to attend the MWMC meetings if they would like to address the Commission. Public Comment takes place towards the beginning of the meeting and each member of the public is allotted 5 minutes unless prior arrangements have been made. You may also submit a letter addressed to the Commission. Please mail letters to: MWMC, 225 Fifth Street, Springfield, OR 97477.

Agenda and Minutes Archive. Total Maximum Daily Load. 30 Years of Clean Water Video. History of the Farm. The MWMC cleans 30 million gallons of wastewater a day for more than 220,000 customers in the Eugene-Springfield area. The wastewater is collected by a vast system of local (Eugene and Springfield) and regional sewer lines and pump stations and routed to the regional treatment plant on River Avenue in Eugene.

The MWMC provides tours of the regional wastewater treatment plant for college classes, community and neighborhood groups; and for middle and high school students in the Springfield, Eugene, and Bethel School Districts. To arrange a tour of the facility. We are also happy to provide tours for home school groups, but due to safety concerns all children on the tour must be at least 10 years old.
