Monday, April 20, 2009. Morning Scale Report: no change. This was not a good weigh-in for me, I was hoping to lose even just .5, but more like 1. I let it get me down this morning and was feeling bad for myself. I was thinking about how many Medifast meals I ate last week and only for a 2 lb. loss. 7:00 - hot chocolate. 9:00 - chocolate pudding. 12:30 - L/G chipotle salad with steak (didn't like the steak at all, so spicy). 4:00 - cream of chicken soup. 5:45 - cinnamon bun bar. Frankly, they aren't my personal favorite - they're a little on the chewy side. I am pretty fond of the oatmeal prepared normally, but these are a possible alternative when you want something a little more solid. 1 vanilla shake mix (or 1 scoop). 1 packet of oatmeal. Sunday, October 2, 2011. After my mid-month weigh-ins I was hoping for a 12 lb weight loss for September. My minimum goal is 10 lbs/month, and I thought I'd probably lost 12, and I was secretly, secretly hoping for 15. I re-weighed 30 minutes later and showed only 15 lbs lost, and then (stupidly) weighed again today and then had only lost 13 lbs. I think someone's just trying to show me that I need to stay away from the scale except for my once/month weigh-in. OH I can see it in your face sweetheart!

Thursday, September 1, 2011. 10 Days Abstinent: One Day at a Time. Today is the first of the month so it was a weigh-in day. In 10 days I am down 15 lbs! I'm back to 277, which is almost my lowest HMR weight. There is so much I could share about this program and why it's working for me. For now I'll just say that I'm doing it one day at a time. And if one day is too hard, I work on one meal at a time. Today my daughter put a treat on my desk and walked away. I got through that one minute. HMR Days 3 and 4.

Tuesday, April 26, 2011. 1/8 tsp baking powder. 1/4 tsp cinnamon , apple pie spice or pumpkin pie spice. 1/2 tsp vanilla extract. 1 packet Spenda or Truvia. 2 tbsp egg whites. Slightly less than 1/3 c. water (but more than 1/4 c.). Preheat Oven to 425. 1 Mix all the dry ingredients. 2 Add the wet ingredients and fold them together with a spatula until there's a nice batter a bit thicker than cake mix. 3 Let sit for about 5 minutes to soak in. 5 Fill the muffin tins 1/2 to 2/3 full. 62 g Zucchini Ribbons.
