Monday, December 08, 2014. Lets wrap up the C Diff story now. I mean, who wants to talk about **** all the time anyway! I suppose some people will be reading this feeling disgraced that I have wasted £1300 of NHS money. And yes, I can see your point. But how was I to know I would get better all of a sudden? I am just bloody pleased that I did! That couple of months were pretty rubbish and I would not wish that illness on my worst enemy. Thank God for Specialist Nurses. Sunday, December 07, 2014. http://www.mybraintumourblog.com/mybraintumourblog/tag/brain_infection

Wednesday, May 14, 2014. So apparently I had / have a brain infection. They took me down for surgery eventually after 26 hours nil by mouth. To say I was slightly grumpy is an understatement! However, the big advantage of having 'been there, done that' was that I knew to tie my hair back. That is a Major (with a capital M) plus! I have long dark hair and stupidly left it down on the first op. This meant that they literally plastered my head into an iodine nest! After a few days of not being told anything...

C.Diff Hibernation

http://www.mybraintumourblog.com/mybraintumourblog/c-diff-hibernation

Tuesday, August 26, 2014. It has been two months since my last post. To be honest I have been in a bit of a state of hibernation. Some days I feel great and sociable and others I feel like crawling under a rock. I felt like death. Not even hot baths were helping this time. It was just a waiting game until I could get the antibiotics from the doctors. And what a year it has been! And it still isn't over yet. I am still stupidly tired, not off antibiotics, still on Keppra for possible seizures and back...

Good News at Last

http://www.mybraintumourblog.com/mybraintumourblog/good-news-at-last

Good News at Last. Monday, June 09, 2014. My Neutrophils are apparently up to 11.7. This means that due to having just 2 injections, they have gone from 0.3 to 11.7 in just 48 hours. That's pretty good going apparently. This means I get out of here today. Fingers crossed. Just have to wait for the doc to come round and give me the all clear. Anyway, I don't have much else to say today. Just that I hope to God that I don't ever have to be admitted again. Post has no comments. Post has no trackbacks.

Getting my stitches out. Monday, April 07, 2014. Today I had my stitches out. Bit of a strange place to start my brain tumour story, but like a lot of things in my life, I have ideas and then it takes me weeks or months to act on them, if ever! So, today I had my stitches out. Or “sutures” as they kept being referred to. Before all of this I had never heard of that term. And did it hurt? Right now I am lying in bed whilst my other half (literally, he feels like my right limb! Night night. xx. Distric Nur...

On my mind

In my brain actually. My very own brain tumour. Tuesday, February 5, 2008. My beliefs - some of them anyway. Since hearing the news of my brain tumour, many people have asked me questions such as:. Are you OK with God? Can we pray for you? It often helps to write things down. What on earth does this have to do with beliefs? Where do these beliefs come from? I think that one can use three main approaches to trying to understand how things work and how one relates to the world and the universe. One way...

In my brain actually. My very own brain tumour. Tuesday, February 5, 2008. January 27th, 2008 by John. There are other organisations apart from SEDA who know how the system works and who want to use it. Here is a copy of an extract from an email I received from one of them on 16 January this year when the owner found out I had a malignant brain tumour and that the CPE initiative was therefore under threat:. Many years ago when my children were tiny, I found that I was able to play tunes by turning the garden tap on and off in a controlled manner. Having played Frere Jacques on the tap, I went into the house and found my young son standing outside the toilet with eyes the size of saucers, saying, “Dad, guess what?
