My Eco-Journal: Vegetable Garden

http://www.myeco-journal.blogspot.com/2008/03/vegetable-garden.html

Saturday, March 8, 2008. Spring is coming and today was a beautiful day for gardening. I decided it was time to plant some vegetables…the only problem is that every time I’ve tried to start a garden my dogs find a way to dig it up. I ended up choosing eggplant and bell peppers so in a few months I’ll have fresh veggies from my garden! See more progress on: buy less. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). My Eco-Journal: Cutting down on waste

http://www.myeco-journal.blogspot.com/2008/03/cutting-down-on-waste_08.html

Saturday, March 8, 2008. Cutting down on waste. Isn’t it wonderful that you can reduce the amount of waste that goes to the landfill while simultaneously creating wonderful rich soil to use in your garden? So far I’ve been saving things like cuttings from fruits and vegetables, egg shells, coffee grinds, and green material from the gardener. I’d like to read more on what kinds of things can mix together to create the perfect PH balance for a compost pile. I can’t wait to have beautiful compost!

My Eco-Journal: Homemade Aloe Vera Moisturizer

http://www.myeco-journal.blogspot.com/2008/03/homemade-aloe-vera-moisturizer_08.html

Saturday, March 8, 2008. Homemade Aloe Vera Moisturizer. I’m interested in trying this recipe for a moisturizer. It sounds relatively simple. I wonder if it works? We have some aloe vera growing in the backyard so it shouldn’t cost anything so it won’t hurt to try. Take equal quantity of aloe vera and mineral water. Heat in boiler till it forms a cream. After cooling, put it into a container. See more progress on: learn how to make my own beauty products. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Thoughts from the Change Race: The Pre-Tip Results

http://changerace.blogspot.com/2008/08/pre-tip-results.html

Sunday, August 31, 2008. Before I get to my finds, I need to give you an update on the Pre-Tip idea from my last post. I only have a sample of five trips, but I would say that on average my service has gone DOWN when I pre-tip. One time, the guy even lost my ticket, so he didn't know where my car was! He did however still have the dollar! Interested to hear your thoughts, or any of your pre-tip experiments. Onto the finds. Since my last post I have found:. 3 pennies at Schnuck's. Thanks for the info....

Thoughts from the Change Race: The Pre-Tip

http://changerace.blogspot.com/2008/08/pre-tip.html

Tuesday, August 19, 2008. First off, thanks to all the comments on the last post. In case you didn't hear, the NPR story that I teased a few weeks back, finally aired last week. I had to travel to Milwaukee last week, and at their TSA I found an amazing 1 dime and 7 pennies! So the last 4-5 times I get picked up at the airpo...
