My journey through upper and lower jaw surgery and braces. Saturday, February 27, 2010. It has already been a journey and I have yet to get my braces. I guess it all started when I got my braces off my freshman year in high school. Sixteen years ago to be exact. My Mom told my ortho. I have a team of doctors working on my case. A surgeon, an ortho. My journey through upper and lower jaw surgery and braces. Saturday, November 27, 2010. Day 9 Post Op. Day 9 - the best day yet at least so far. This morning I decided I wasn't going to suffer through another day of crushing up pain meds and freaking out while trying to get them down. So I fit them through my bands and swallowed! Tools used this week- Sinus rinse, yes! Heating pad, soft towels for drool rag, liquid B12. Best recipes - Vanilla ensure, peanut butter, graham crackers and milk. Day 8 Post Op.

My journey through upper and lower jaw surgery and braces. Sunday, May 15, 2011. Long Time No See! Time has flown by the past couple of months. I've been so knee deep in things I forgot I HAD a blog. Just to update you on everything. I get my braces off in 11 days! And the 18th marks 6 months post surgery. I've been eating everything I could before the surgery for awhile now. My jaw surgery and I. Braces on: August 2009, Underwent maxillary impaction, mandibular advancement and genioplasty on 28th March 2013 - Now on the road to recovery! Thursday, 24 April 2014. 1 year post-op: More Pictures! Last month I hit the year post-op milestone and can honestly say the entire recovery and year in itself has flown by. I've been reluctant to post because there is nothing at all to say! Jaw surgery has been and gone and recovery is well and truly done. Braces are off and i'm happy!
