My Open Wallet: Mom is Selling Her House!: A Personal Finance Blog About Money and Life in New York
http://www.myopenwallet.net/2015/04/mom-is-selling-her-house.html
An anonymous New Yorker tells the world how much money she earns, spends, and saves. Wednesday, April 29, 2015. Mom is Selling Her House! Fingers crossed that this works out, but as I write this, my mom has accepted an offer for her house. This is exciting and sad and scary. If all goes well, it will keep her from wasting all her income on maintaining a single family house. She spent thousands of dollars this past winter just on snow removal! Let's hope there is more news to tell soon! Posted at 9:00 AM.
My Open Wallet: Rule #9: D.I.Y. vs P.A.Y.: A Personal Finance Blog About Money and Life in New York
http://www.myopenwallet.net/2005/08/rule-9-diy-vs-pay.html
An anonymous New Yorker tells the world how much money she earns, spends, and saves. Wednesday, August 24, 2005. Rule #9: D.I.Y. vs P.A.Y. Okay, this may be the wishy-washiest rule ever. But I guess I think of my rules more as philosophical cattle-prods than actual strict instructions. Don't pay someone else to do what you can easily do yourself. The thing that comes to mind first when I think of this rule is salad dressing. Who needs $5 more, Paul Newman or me? Do my own nails vs. going to a salon.

An anonymous New Yorker tells the world how much money she earns, spends, and saves. Thursday, August 11, 2005. Rule #8: Work for free. Free stuff, that is! Work where you get something you love for free. Posted at 3:09 PM. I work at a telecommunications company- I get free high speed and digital cable tv- very nice bonus in my opinion. If I didn't get it free, I would only pay for the internet and get rid of the TV. This comment has been removed by a blog administrator. However, we have to think that al...
My Open Wallet: Rule #7: The Now or Later Rule: A Personal Finance Blog About Money and Life in New York
http://www.myopenwallet.net/2005/08/rule-7-now-or-later-rule.html
An anonymous New Yorker tells the world how much money she earns, spends, and saves. Thursday, August 04, 2005. Rule #7: The Now or Later Rule. But on the other hand, you can't save everything for a rainy day. Sometimes I ask myself this question:. If I don't buy/do this now, will I still be able to enjoy what I'm buying/doing later? It depends on what I'm spending the money on. Here are some examples:. Having a big house: postpone it, I can enjoy that when I'm retired. I certainly don't make all my deci...
My Open Wallet: Bonus Time: A Personal Finance Blog About Money and Life in New York
http://www.myopenwallet.net/2015/04/bonus-time.html
An anonymous New Yorker tells the world how much money she earns, spends, and saves. Tuesday, April 14, 2015. So my last post was about how tax time is usually a happy time of year. this goes hand in hand with bonus time, which is also usually a happy time of year. This year was a bit of an exception. I have mostly had jobs that involve measurable performance in some aspects, so a bonus has often been a significant part of my compensation, sometimes more than I even expected! Why was I working so hard?

Another Personal Finance Blog. Thursday, August 27, 2009. Not a very long hiatus, but I finished my tax! I'm getting a higher refund than I expected, I had a lot of deductions this year, so it's nice to get it in and get it finished. I also finally got around to lodging an amendment for last year's return as I realised I had made a mistake, which should mean I get an extra refund of about $500. QUALITY STOCKS UNDER 5 DOLLARS. Excellent blog lots of great post on many topics. January 16, 2013 at 9:41 AM.

About The Last Spartan. 8211; What can I say? 8211; My eight year-old. She’s quite the intellectual. She’s just like me. She’s a gabber and a philosopher. She’s the apple of my eye and I wish she’d stayed a toddler. A pleasant disposition and a loving child. She has more friends than I’ve had my whole life! The high-maintenance one. They don’t respect me or my culture. One of them is even anti-Greek. For the record, she can kiss my ass. Blast From The Past (BFP). 8211; The wife’s older sister. ...In fact...
