Skip to main content. Now in my 70's I am fully retired as a commercial photographer. I remain, however, active as a fellow of the Royal Photographic Society, helping out with workshops and adversary days. I will continue to give my popular lecture "Doing it the Hard Way" to camera clubs and other interested groups. Many of the images on this website appear in my illustrated talk where they are often accompanied by behind the scenes set-up photographs showing the methods involved.

Myrdal to Flam by Flamsbana. Saturday, September 17, 2005. Our journey on the Flamsbana starts of the station of Myrdal. Myrdal is at an altitude of 867 metres and the train descends to an altitude of only 21 metres at Flam.
