My flight leaves from Salt Lake next Friday. I have one stop at JFK Airport in New York, and then I get into London at about 7 am July 4th. We started the day at 7am by riding a high-speed train from York to Edinburgh, almost a 3 hour trip. We got there mid-morning and the weather was just gorgeous! Saturday, September 26, 2009. Saturday, August 7. I know, I'm really far behind, but I promise there's not much of the story left :). On our drive back to Cardiff from York, we stopped at Preston to see some church history sites. We met a guy there that Tom knows, Peter, and he was our tour guide for the morning. It was great. This is the view of one of the old inns in Preston, possibly where the missionaries stayed during their first few weeks (Peter is in the foreground, but you can't see him very well).

Saturday, July 25, 2009. Important to note is the fact that I am not normally afraid of mice. They don’t make me scream and run or jump on chairs or anything silly like that. But to hear that sound under your bed, late at night, alone, when everyone else is asleep, and your lights don’t work, is quite a petrifying experience. We paid to get into the Tower, and it was well worth it in my opinion. We spent almost three hours touring the rooms and the shops and seeing the crown jewels (my favorite part!

Amber's mom, Jamie, and I have been best friends since we were 12.and we had our first baby girls a day apart! It was really fun and really special for these girls to share their special day, they are great friends and I am so proud of them both! I think she's one lucky little girl to have such a great dad!

I know this for sure because I was sitting on the edge of his bed scratching his back and singing until he started to snore. Then I scratched the back a tad bit longer, just for good measure.
