Musings about family , friends and good food. If you like to cook, you’ve probably heard about “Engagement Chicken”. Martha Stewart, Ina Garten (“The Barefoot Contessa) and a host of other well known chefs offer recipes for this reputed gastronomic path to marriage. Hacked into it before I could take the victory photo. Hence this sad image of the finished product. So here’s my new twist on a classic. Engagement Chicken post-facto. 1 4-5 pound roasting chicken. Two lemons, quartered. Splash of white wine.
