Maths Presentations | My Teaching Adventures
https://myteachingadventures.wordpress.com/2014/09/05/maths-presentations
From student to lifelong learner…. September 5, 2014. Teaching maths and numeracy. At first I was worried I made the task too easy, as all the kids seemed to be doing well (including the weaker ones). But I had allocated the questions specifically to ensure they all experienced an element of success, and even if they all did well I don’t mind because they would at least do well on their type of question on the test. So all good. Tech in teaching – which type of teacher are you? Thoughts on Twitter →.

From student to lifelong learner…. All posts by naaiyhe. July 12, 2016. Thought of the day. Today I read a post by Pernille Ripp. Explaining why she unfollowed everyone on her Twitter account. You can find it here. To be honest, I haven’t been on Twitter as much as I probably should be. And I think a big part of that is the superficial engagement she talks about. We see something we like – we follow without a second thought. How many people on Twitter do we actually engage with regularly? At first I was ...

From student to lifelong learner…. Tech in teaching – which type of teacher are you? August 31, 2014. I wonder which kind of teacher I am. As much as I’d like to be the ‘leader’ and I do adopt new technology before a lot of other people, I fear that I can sometimes be the ‘hanger-on’ and that scares me. Maths Presentations →. Putting myself out there! May 4, 2015. May 4, 2015. I am starting this blog as a result of attending a PYP workshop on Digital Citizenship. The workshop has created a mind shift for me where, rather then viewing digital citizenship as “cyber safety”, I now view it as the skills and attitudes needed to relate to others in the modern world! I want to take this mind shift back into my working life as a Year 5 teacher. Wish me luck! Iceberg thinking →. 9 thoughts on “ Putting myself out there! Often I overth...

I walked out at lunch the other day to talk to one of my assistant principals (we have four), and after our short discussion about my concern, he started this conversation:. 8220;You’re doing a great job with everything. Are you happy here? 8220;Good. That’s good to hear. We don’t ever want you to leave.”. I answered it, and it was the principal! I knew t...

Teacher in the Rye. The Only Thing I'd Really Like To Be. What to do about those early packer-uppers! August 2, 2013. So, every time I log in on Pinterest. I feel a bit annoyed, as well as slightly overwhelmed. First, let me get something off my chest totally unrelated to education: Why are people pinning “recipes” for things that don’t need recipes?
