Saturday, April 13, 2013. Better late than never - at least it's still springtime! This is the first Easter that Manu's been old enough to be interested in things like candy. We went with some friends to a community egg hunt at Makiki park. It was pretty crazy and all over in about 30 seconds. Manu wasn't sure to make of it all until he realized that there was candy in the eggs. This made me smile and laugh. What fun! And what a cute little Manu! April 15, 2013 at 10:16 AM. Thursday, September 20, 2012. Sunday afternoon Manu helped me make brownies and boy did he have a blast! He watched everything I did very carefully. After I cracked an egg on the side of the bowl to add it to the batter, Manu grabbed one too and cracked it on the table. He also wanted to scoop, stir and put things in - including the lid to the cocoa box. After this it was straight into the tub for Manu. With all that chocolate, there was just no way around it. Friday, August 2, 2013. Manu just had a birthday! He and I had just arrived back Thursday night from a blissful 3-week excursion to visit family in OK. Friday, May 24, 2013. But Wednesday everything finally came together. The day was perfect - not much wind, clear skies, calm water. So we went sea kayaking! We started off at Kailua beach and paddled out to the Mokes. These two islands (Mokulua means "twin islands") are part of the Hawaii State Seabird Sanctuary, but you can land on the beach of the left island (looking from shore) and look around. Here's some pics from the adventure:. On the beach at the Mokes (rhymes with smokes). A Day Like This One.
