I moved to Bulgaria knowing that the toughest struggle would be facing the weather during the winter, however I never expected to start feeling it in the beginning of October. My online travel album. Athens Here We Come! November 18, 2016. Yesterday we made a quick decision to go to Athens, so today I reserved our tickets. We will be leaving on 9th of December in the morning and returning to Sofia on the 11th in the evening, so it’s a short weekendtrip, but much needed, because that travel bug is starting to itch. I have a few ideas of what we are going to see and do, but would love to hear from someone who can give a few tips on where to stay, where to eat and what to see!
