My Unexpected Path: I love my husband!
http://myunexpectedpath.blogspot.com/2013/05/i-love-my-husband.html
My jouney through breast cancer. Thursday, May 16, 2013. I love my husband! I should have written this yesterday when I was feeling more inspired and less hopeless and sad. broken hearted. Ken, I mean this in all seriousness, in his infinite wisdom said to me (I love this man, with all my heart and more. I am thankful for eternal families is all I can say.) three different things. It made me feel a little better knowing that we all said we could do this. Not much. but a little. To which He would say to u...

My jouney through breast cancer. Friday, September 7, 2012. Nothing like a good old update. I was not in a good place and I was sick of feeling this way. It is completely exhausting. I mean that. Literally draining. And I know it was hard on Ken to have a constant rain cloud wandering around the house. I am going to keep on keeping on with chemo until I see him again and I am fine with that. I feel like it is my safety net. And I feel alright while being on chemo, so I don't mind continuing on wi...He as...

My jouney through breast cancer. Sunday, March 31, 2013. None Were with Him - I'm redeeming myself I hope! Today, I am not amazing. Honestly, I never think I am amazing. We all just have to do what we have to do in certain situations, and surviving is not amazing. it's natural. To be honest, I am having an awful day. I just want to be normal. I am maybe a little apprehensive about starting the new chemo drug. (instant tears. I'M 32 YEARS OLD! WHY AM I ON CHEMO DRUGS? Where is my hope? How much will it hu...

My jouney through breast cancer. Monday, September 23, 2013. I have mixed emotions about continuing on with my wife's blog. She did such an amazing job and I worry that anything I write will only detract from the beauty that was in her writing. I needed a break from it all by the time morning rolled around so the 4 of us booked a spa day. W and I got massages and K got mani and petti and C was going to get a massage but chickened out at the last moment. W graciously accepted C's massage for him. That in ...

Est August 20th, 2011. September 27, 2013. Brooklynn has now spent as much time out in the world as she did growing in my belly. Yup, that's right, 9 months old! And my how quickly time passes, and how quickly they change. Its hard to believe that it has already been 9 months. And in a few short months, she will be 1! At 9 months, this is where we are at:. About 19lbs, give or take a few ounces. New, big-girl carseat, still rear-facing (getting to big to be hauled around in the infant carseat). Its crazy...

Saturday, April 30, 2011. Only one more sleep! I am so excited! It is only one more sleep until I leave for Salt Lake City to attend HMQS. HMQS is a machine quilting conference and show. It is absolutely wonderful! This is the third time I've been able to attend. For me it is a week full of learning, a wonderful quilt show and merchants with every quilting supply you will ever need. To me it is almost heaven. Last year there was a display of quilts made by David Taylor. I just love his work. It starts th...

Sunday, November 17, 2013. My studio is in a log building that is 20’ x 28’. On the main level,. I have my cutting table, fabric, batting, ironing board and an Accuquilt cutting station. This is also where I set up tables and sewing machines when friends come over to quilt. There is a 2. Story loft in my studio where I have my quilting machine and do my sewing. Tuesday, August 7, 2012. If you have never tried it, add it to your to do list. You will love it! When I get hot, I go for a dip in the lake or creek we are camping near. Or, I will spend a little time fishing. I never catch anything but I don't try very hard because if I ever caught something, I'd have to clean it. This is one of my favorite places to camp. Lots of childhood memories here. This is the quilt from the book. Here is a few of my blocks. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Bee In My Bonnet.

Sunday, January 29, 2012. Mennonite Girls Can Cook: Homemade Laundry Soap. About a year ago, my friend Stephanie mentioned she had found a recipe on the internet for homemade laundry soap. We bought the supplies and we have been making our own laundry soap ever since. If you have never tried making your own laundry soap, give it a try. It takes only about 10 minutes and is so easy! 1 sunlight bar grated into a medium saucepan. 4 cups hot tap water. 1 cup Washing Soda. 1 five gallon pail. You will need to...

Wednesday, August 5, 2015. But my heart took over and I said " Yes I think I can." I don't know if it was because my friend was told it couldn't be done or the fact that it meant so much to her that she wanted to pass this quilt top onto her daughter at her upcoming wedding. But it became my challenge for the next 6 months. My next step was to repair the seams and to replace any worn out parts of the blocks. I used a tiny blanket stitch and Bottom Line thread in a color that blended in with the fabri...

The story of how I ended up in Switzerland -again- and my documented attempt at survival. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. October 7, 2014. When I caught a glimpse of that park today, the memories started flashing before me. Yesterday it rained super heavily and the entire city was on a halt. The skies had a constant texture and hue throughout the entire day, be it in the morning or in the afternoon. It was the perfect weather for a melancholic day but the best day ever for hot pakodas and hot chocolate drinks! My Unexpressed Thoughts
This is my daily rant for previously unexpressed thoughts. Wednesday, August 24, 2005. Paul Lynde,Dr. Bombay,Mike Brady,Gazzoo,Snagglepuss. We didn't know. Growing up as a child of the 60's and 70's we were nowere near as hip as we would like to have our kids believe we were. In a day and age of well written shows like Will and Grace, The "L" Word, and now netoworks like LOGO, our children are way more sophisticated than we give them credit for.
