E is for Evan: Rock climbing
http://peanutlogs.blogspot.com/2015/04/rock-climbing.html
Thursday, April 30, 2015. Evan tried rock climbing for the first time and turns out he's a natural! Climbing up was very easy but letting go and propelling down took some practice. Once Evan got the hang of kicking the wall to come down he was a lot more confident and made it all the way to the top! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). E is for Evan. L is for Logan. Sunday, February 15, 2015. 100 days of school, 100 days smarter! Sunday, February 1, 2015. Evan got given his first official homework assignment over Thanksgiving break. Since we were on our road trip at the time we did most of it in a hotel lobby. It was actually quite a fun project. Involved collecting fall leaves and making a picture out of them. Elchang's very random thoughts. Friday, November 18, 2011. Manresa, take 2. I meant to move my random thoughts into G and keep posting about food and travel on this blog, but it seems I forgot. I'm going to be catching up on food outings in the next week or so, and back-dating appropriately, so sorry for the confusion. Black olive madeleine and red pepper gelee:. Foie gras and chestnut croquettes (super tasty! With barely cooked tomato soup (also very good):. Pumpkin confit, pistachio cake w/ fenugreek i...

E is for Evan: June 2015
http://peanutlogs.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 7, 2015. Evan has been extremely interested in playing Chess in the last couple of months. Knowing nothing about chess myself I decided to take him to a Chess club where he can learn from the experts. We made it happen last Friday and I foresee this becoming our new Friday routine. We learned some basic rules such as "castling" and "forking". Both Evan and I knew the basic concepts but didn't know the proper terminology until now. For Evan, scrimmaging was the most fun by far! the-wrench: Galapagos Islands, Day 4 & 5
http://the-wrench.blogspot.com/2013/05/galapagos-islands-day-4-5.html
Elchang's very random thoughts. Sunday, May 19, 2013. Galapagos Islands, Day 4 and 5. On the fourth day we visited the island of Floreana, historically one of the more inhabited islands in the Galapagos. We first landed at Punta Cormorant, where we saw some flamingos in a brackish lagoon:. Nearby was a beach with sea turtle nests. Unfortunately all we could see were giant depressions in the sand and some trails left by the turtles as they entered and exited the sea:. That night D and I, along with four o...

Elchang's very random thoughts. Friday, September 09, 2011. On Tuesday, D and I went to check out the newly one-starred Dio Deka. With some of my work friends. I didn't bring my camera but luckily one of my friends did. He has much nicer glass than I do anyway. We ordered the "Kounoupithi" baby cauliflower and "Gouronopoulo" suckling pig to share as appetizers. The cauliflower was cooked with feta and peppers, and had a nice tang to it:. 30-day dry aged ribeye:. 30-day dry aged bone-in filet:. We asked t...

L is for Logan: Look at me mom!
http://sesamestories.blogspot.com/2015/03/look-at-me-mom.html
L is for Logan. Tuesday, March 17, 2015. Look at me mom! Like many other boys his age, Logan very much knows what not to do, but likes to break the rules anyway to test our limits. One example is his stuffing his mouth so full of food he can barely chew it. Being the youngest of 3 boys I think he's learned to eat fast before all the good stuff is gone. He loves to show us his mouthful of food too to get a reaction. Therefore when he first read the "No, David No! Book, he was able to relate right away.
