N is for Nathan: November 2014
http://mywalnut.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 11, 2014. I forget how the topic came up, but a few weeks ago when we out at dinner I told Nathan about "Doodle for Google" drawing contest and he was completely fascinated by the idea. After we got home he immediately started doodling and came up with 3 designs in Sharpie. Some of the letters are harder to spot in the latter pictures but they are all there! N is for Nathan: March 2015
http://mywalnut.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 17, 2015. Looking back at Nathan's artwork from last year (1st grade), my favorite is probably his self-portrait with oil pastel. I liked it so much even got it framed! One thing that puzzled me however was the "no nuts" shirt that he drew himself wearing, until recently I finally realized what Nathan was referring to. Most classrooms at BCS have this sign posted near the door:. Monday, March 16, 2015. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). N is for Nathan. A baby journal by Alice and James.

N is for Nathan: Pomegranate lemonade
http://mywalnut.blogspot.com/2015/04/pomegranate-lemonade.html
Sunday, April 26, 2015. Inspired by a random pomegranate that we found in the fridge (because Logan made me buy it at the veggie store several weeks back), Nathan decided to make pomegranate lemonade. I had no idea what it was going to end up like and decided to let him try anything once. We improvised and used a garlic crusher to get juice out of the pomegranate seeds, and the results were quite refreshing! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). N is for Nathan. N is for Nathan: February 2015
http://mywalnut.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 1, 2015. Nathan used to be really into drawing mazes, and some of them can be quite elaborate. The last one I managed to capture was from a while ago and I really liked it. The cool part is he usually makes sure there's only one way out. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). N is for Nathan. A baby journal by Alice and James. E is for Evan. Money, money, money. L is for Logan.

Sunday, September 28, 2014. Where did the summer go? Summer came and went so quickly before you know it a new school year has started! Similar to last summer, Nathan got a chance to reconnect with Sophia and they did many camps together:. 4 weeks of Galileo which was Nathan's favorite camp last year. Nathan particularly enjoys story time during lunch. (reminds me I should get him more audio books.). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). N is for Nathan. A baby journal by Alice and James. E is for Evan.

N is for Nathan: Date night #1
http://mywalnut.blogspot.com/2015/03/date-night-1.html
Monday, March 16, 2015. I took Nathan out to our first mother son "date night" a few weeks ago. We went to his favorite restaurant Pacific Catch. Where he got his favorite dish salmon teriyaki (he actually likes it so much that he wrote about it twice in his writing homework). It was nice to get some time to chat and I learned a few interesting things about what's going on at school. We both agreed we should make this a more regular event and next time my turn to pick the restaurant :). N is for Nathan.
