From the kitchen of Nancy Freemantle:. 2 or more cups fruit (blackberries, peaches, etc.). 1 T lemon juice. 1 tsp Baking powder. 1 T corn starch. 1 c Boiling water. 1 Place fruit and lemon juice in 8x8 Pyrex (non-metal) pan. 2 Cream butter and 3/4 c. sugar. 3 Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add alternately with milk to #2. 4 Spread batter over fruit. 5 Mix 1 c. Sugar and corn starch, sprinkle over batter. 6 Pour boiling water over batter - bake in preheated 375* oven 1 hour.

Thursday, November 17, 2011. Pink Bavarian Cream Dessert. So this is a recipe that has become a family tradition at every Christmas and Thanksgiving since I was married 30 years ago! Gave it to me for my bridal shower (probably don't remember that Angie but I still have the recipe card you wrote it on). So I thought I would share it since it is such a family favorite. A Pink Bavarian Cream Dessert. 1 package (10 oz) frozen sliced stra wberries. 1 cup boiling water. 1 package (3 oz) strawberry gelatin.

Chicken and Rice Dish. 2 envelopes Lipton Dry Onion Soup mix. 1 1/2 cups uncooked long grain white rice. 2 chicken fryers (I use bonesless skinlees chicken breasts). 2 cans Cream of Chicken Soup (or Cream of Mushroom but my family doesn't like it). 3 soup cans of water. 1/2 tsp. pepper. Optional - I don't use these but the recipe list these as optional. 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms. 1/2 cup sliced pimentos.

Sunday, January 11, 2015. 1 lb ground beef. 2 c bread crumbs. 1 slightly beaten egg. 1 small minced onion. 1 can drained corn. 1 can tomatoe soup. Remove tops and seeds from peppers. BROCCOLI - BACON - RAISIN SALAD. 1 bunch fresh broccoli, washed, drained, broken into flowerettes. 1/2 c chopped red onion. 1 c celery, chopped. 1 lb bacon, fried crisp, drained, crumbled. 1/2 c hulled sunflower seeds. 1/2 c raisins (craisins). 2 tbsp. vinegar. Combine salad ingredients together in a large mixing bowl. Set aside. Combine dressing ingredients together. Pour dressing over salad ingredients; stir to blend. Serve chilled. Refrigerate leftovers.

May 27, 2014. 1 cup of small shell or similar pasta. 1 cup slightly cooked peas. 1 small grated carrot. 1 stalk thinly sliced celery. 2 to 3 sliced green onions. Some thinly sliced radishes, green/red/yellow or orange peppers , broccoli, or any veggies of your choice are nice. 1/3 cup of mayonnaise. 2 TBS white sugar. 2 TBS white vinegar. 1/2 tsp. salt.
