Notes on being a primate on Earth. An American in Hiroshima. The Atomic Bomb Dome, or Genbaku Dome, stands at the north end of Hiroshima Peace Park. It was one of the very few buildings where some walls remained after the bomb detonated. It has been preserved, not without controversy, as a monument to encourage people to never forget. Present in the city on the day of the bomb. Arrived in the city to assist with rescue efforts within two weeks of the bomb. Were a fetus in utero at the time of the bomb.

Tuesday, August 05, 2008. Well, Nanna (aka Antanna or Aunt Anna) got married to her dream guy - Davey. I like him a lot, too, so I'm glad Nanna picked him. Here's Gramma and Pop Pop D, along with their four kids and spouses. This is before the wedding so Davey is not in this picture yet. They were married at a beautiful place in Nesbit, MS (just across the state line from Memphis, TN). Here's the chapel where they were married. Nanna and Davey in the chapel. And more of me.
