Napoleonic Wargaming Blog: August 2014

http://napoleonicwargamesblog.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html

A wargaming blog documenting the development of my Napoleonic Wargames armies in 28mm scale. Monday, 18 August 2014. I've randomly decided at short notice to visit the Waterloo battlefield in Belgium tomorrow for a few days and will return on Friday. It'll hopefully get the motivation up for the masses of painting I still have left to do. Also I've been to Belgium every year since 2010 and still haven't been! Links to this post. A wargaming blog documenting the development of my Napoleonic Wargames armies in 28mm scale. Thursday, 21 May 2015. Royal Green Jackets Museum - Waterloo Exhibition. I thought I'd take some time out to post some pics from the Royal Green Jackets Museum and their Waterloo exhibition running until September. Very good and well worth a visit if you are in Winchester. Only £4 for an adult too. Obviously I took more pics but I don't want to steal all of their intellectual property and ruin your visit. Napoleonic Wargaming Blog: April 2014

http://napoleonicwargamesblog.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html

A wargaming blog documenting the development of my Napoleonic Wargames armies in 28mm scale. Monday, 14 April 2014. Since posting up my review of the new Warlord Games figures, I've had a few questions regarding their size compared to Front Rank so I thought I'd try and address the issue. Here you can see the Front Rank officer on the left (from a Peninsular reinforcement pack) and the Warlord Games officer on the right. Links to this post. Sunday, 13 April 2014. Assessing the lead/plastic mountain.

Napoleonic Warfare

A journal about fighting imaginary campaigns in Europe using armies in 6mm. Tuesday, 30 August 2016. Having only started the Spanish army this year there's not much variety so far. All services are lacking, but I hope to have doubled it's size by the end of the year. So far I have no end goal for these, but maybe it'll end up a corps and represent around 20,00 men. Cavalry commander with Numancia dragoons behind. Neapolis regt. and massed infantry. A close-up of the grenadiers in line. A typical line regt.

Napoleonic Wargame Rules

Saturday, June 25, 2016. This is the first major update of the rules since they were written in 2011. The rules have been used on our wargames table on most days since they were first written. We normally play one campaign wargame each week, and each game lasts twelve moves. So the rules have been well play tested. They have stood the test of time with only minor adjustments. When the rules were written my wife and I were running a solo 1813 campaign. For example each campaign day was 12 hours long.

Saturday, 7 April 2018. Revised Leon Campaign Strategic Map. Original Strategic Map of Leon Phase. Last week I explained that the strategic map was used for campaign movement and to illustrate daily locations on the campaign diary blog. I posted a copy of the latest map, which is above. When the campaign was PBEM I always used the wargames map, because it was important that each player could see in advance exactly what the wargames table would look like. Revised Strategic Map of Leon Phase. Because they ...
