Monday, January 21, 2013. Our New Baby Girl-Emersen Brooke. For Christmas, we travelled to Shelley and spent a week with The Gray's. It was so fun because Rebecca, Jordan, and Annabeth made a surprise appearance and so all of the granddaughters were able to spend Christmas together. Sunday, May 19, 2013. Nate had his Colon removed on April 22nd. As far as surgeries go, it was a smashing success. Considering how sick Nate has been this past year, his quick recovery has truly been a miracle. His surgery was on a Monday and the surgeon told us he would likely go home the following Friday. B&Bs/pensions are cheap and lovely places to stay. Try the food, not the water. Have extra batteries on hand. Talk with the locals. Talk with the foreigners. Always close your tent when heading out for a while. If you see somewhere you’d like to go from a train window (regardless of plans), just get off. Last Day in Paris.

Nate has loved racing horses to say the least, but when the time came this spring he decided he doesn't want to hurt that bad anymore.so he walked away. I can't say that I blame him. He would ride one day and recover the next 10 just to do it all over again! I'm so thankful for all of the injury free years that we had.and for all of the friends we gained! I look forward to enjoying the races with Nate at my side! It's a Hard Knock Life".
