Sunday, September 2, 2012. I participated in my 4th Half-Marathon this past Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012. It was the Women's Half-Marathon in Indianapolis. This is the first out of town race I have done. Friday night when I went to bed I was expecting to wake up to rain from hurricaine Isaac, but to my surprise the rain held off and we were able to complete the whole race with no rain! Dena's Trip to South Africa. Tuesday, February 24, 2009. I am going through the Health Department's Foreign Travel Clinic to get the necessary vaccines for South Africa. They provide what is recommended by the Center for Disease Control. I will have to get two shots - a tetnus booster and Hepatitis A(one now and another in 6 months). For Typhoid I will have to take a pill every other day for four days. I made an appointment in late March for these. Luckily I only had to pay my $10 co-pay. Dan and Jane Ha...

They all had a blast playing and enjoying the nice weather. It was great seeing everyone and having all the grandkids hunt eggs together. We're so blessed with wonderful family! Monday, March 15, 2010. YepEvan has started wrestling! Kirk takes him on Tuesdays and Thursdays to the high school wrestling room to work out and learn wrestling techniques. They both really enjoy the time together, but I'm not sure who likes it more, Evan or Daddy! Evan is in the free-style wrestling class, but we don't plan on letting him compete. We feel that he needs to have a little more experience and make that decision on his own. They both really get a work out and come home exhausted!

Thursday, August 27, 2009. Olivia walked for the first time while pushing a toy on Monday! She is very brave and into EVERYTHING! She is starting to understand the word "NO! We enjoy watching her learn new things everyday and are amazed how fast the past year has gone! We are so excited about her 1st birthday coming soon in September! First Day of Pre-School 2009. Evan started his second year of pre-school on Monday and he loves it! He is so excited that he rides the bus to and from school!

Tuesday, November 3, 2009. I'm not sure what's up with our blog, but it's not letting me rearrange my gadgets! I need advice.help please! Ba Ba Black Sheep. Evan's class went on a field trip to Smith Family Farms. He enjoyed the petting zoo, brushing the goats, picking pumpkins, going on a hayride and especially singing Ba Ba Back Sheep to the Black Sheep! Monday, November 2, 2009. Fun at Falls Park. We had a great time at the park a few weekends ago! Sorry:( I'll try to do better! Happy Fall Ya All.

Tuesday, April 28, 2009. Sleeping on the job. Is this funny or what? Kirk was out mowing the grass and I couldn't find Evan. I looked all around and finally found him sitting on the riding mower with his Daddy. Kirk had put a child size reclining lawn chair on the mower for Evan to ride on. Then I noticed that Evan was sound asleep with headphones on! He was jammin to country music! Great Gordon would be proud:) I couldn't resist this Kodak moment! What will she try next? Sunday, October 27, 2013. On October 5th I participated in the Evansville Half-Marathon. This was my 5th Half-Marathon! That alone is so hard for me to believe. I can still remember my first half, I walked the whole thing. I decided back in July when I started training that I wanted to finish this race with a personal best time. My previous best was 2 hours 44 minutes. I felt confident I could reach my goal because I made it part of my Body By Vi 90 Day Challenge! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
