Scattered Apples: Art from Grandma's House
http://scatteredapples.blogspot.com/2015/08/art-from-grandmas-house.html
Tuesday, August 4, 2015. Art from Grandma's House. Norman Rockwell, Girl at Mirror. A print of this painting is in the back hallway of my grandparents' basement. It hangs on the dark wooden paneling between what used to be Uncle B's room and the study. I associate the movie star Jane Russell with this painting, perhaps partially because my sister and I watched old movies like Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. In this painting, since he received a lot of criticism for doing so. John Hafen, Girl with the Hollyhocks.

Scattered Apples: "After the Bath" by Paul Peel
http://scatteredapples.blogspot.com/2015/08/after-bath-by-paul-peel.html
Tuesday, August 4, 2015. After the Bath" by Paul Peel. When I was growing up, I remember that we had a print of Paul Peel's After the Bath. In our home for some time. I remember seeing it last when we were living in California; I'm not sure if my mom kept the print when we moved to Ohio. I remember looking at this print often when I was a girl, being intrigued and a little dismayed that the little girl in the picture was sitting on a fancy rug with her bare bottom! Paul Peel, After the Bath.

Yup, this is me. Stalled, and stuck on this rock. Turned out to be a great photo opportunity. Taking a break. Dad, Me, and Andrew.

Our Crazy Life: July 2009
http://eriknamie.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 10, 2009. Spencer and Lincoln on top of the Conference Center. This is some of the kids waiting for a few others to use the restroom. They were being so good! I had lots of help with Emma. She did suprising well for having to be in her stroller for so long. Dallin and Jaxson both took turns holding her bottle while I pushed the stroller. They were such good helpers. Erik's mom also took her and fed and changed her while the rest of us were touring the roof. She is amazing! My boys and Emma.

Our Crazy Life: Miss Emma
http://eriknamie.blogspot.com/2011/03/miss-emma.html
Wednesday, March 2, 2011. Emma has been so much fun to have in our family, but I'm not sure where we found her! Emma's favorite place to draw is wall right as you walk in the front door. I think I have used Magic Eraser 5 or 6 times on the same wall. We are wondering if Emma will be ambidextrous. She switches hands when she writes and she will often eat with both hands at the same time. So far none of our kids are "lefties" and Erik is really hoping we can get one out of the five. We love her too!

Our Crazy Life: Halloween 2010
http://eriknamie.blogspot.com/2010/11/halloween-2010.html
Friday, November 5, 2010. We started off our Halloween celebrations with a trip to "This is the Place Heritage Park.". Spencer loved being a "fireman" at the Firehouse! The kids loved riding on a hayride, and two different trains. Kate helped carry tired trick-or-treaters around in the rain. On Halloween night we had a "mask" party and celebrated Kristin's birthday. We love finishing off a great Halloween season with your special day. I love everyones costumes! November 9, 2010 at 11:32 AM.

Miles & Natalie: Rearranging the Apaprtment
http://natnmiles.blogspot.com/2009/01/rearranging-apaprtment.html
Sunday, January 18, 2009. We cut off the legs of our bed so that it is only five feet off the ground now instead of eight. Much easier to get into bed now. Gee I wonder what it would be like to have a bed on the floor again. That would be weird. 160;Things get pretty messy when trying to move things around in 400 square feet. I missed this post too. living in NYC is QUITE the adventure, eh? May 29, 2009 at 10:46 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Nathan and Sarah Jane Bowen. Misty and Dave McKenna.

I have been following @cleanmama. Since I'm such a goal-oriented person, I've been doing well under this program. The house is cleaner and I feel more on top of things. Now I just have about a week left of the Spring Clean Challenge! If anyone is interested in starting up the challenge, you can follow her on Instagram. Last night we...

Scattered Apples: 2015 Road Trip: Glacier National Park Hikes
http://scatteredapples.blogspot.com/2015/08/2015-road-trip-glacier-national-park.html
Wednesday, August 12, 2015. 2015 Road Trip: Glacier National Park Hikes. We got to go on two hikes in Glacier National Park. They were quite unique and distinctive from each other. I found these hikes by looking at the site "Best Easy Hikes in Glacier National Park.". I knew that we needed to do hikes that Sam would do (especially if we were going to hike more than one trail in the same day). The first hike that we did was the Rocky Point Nature Trail. With half of my siblings. Which is just above the Vi...
