At Kit and Kaboodle. The Committee's first fundraising event for 2010 was a fun speed dating event held at Kit and Kaboodle Cocktail Bar from 6.30pm on Wednesday, 7 April. The event was a sell-out success and the 140 participants had a fantastic time. We look forward to arranging similar functions later on. See images of the great night.

Fundraising Dinner at Doltone House. The Brain and Mind Research Institute (BMRI) at the University of Sydney was a recipient from the money raised to provide a research scholarship to a PhD student to further research mental illness under the supervision of Professor Ian Hickie. Professor Ian Hickie of the Brain and Mind Research Institute's presentation at Allens Arthur Robinson.

Our Future: 2010 and beyond. This year Nathan’s Bequest Committee aims to raise funds in order to develop and roll out a tailored education and awareness program targeted at young people and law students aged between 15 and 24. We hope that such a program will assist in providing young people with the tools to. Identify depression within themselves, their peers, family and others around theme. Provide potential strategies on how to manage depression. Develop peer support networks within their environments.

Nathan was in the prime of his life, a beautiful example of a maturing young man paving his way toward a bright future. Although he had an inspiring intellect and love in his life, a serious mental illness lingered in the darker corners of his bright mind. This darkness ended up taking all of this away from him.
