Our Family's National Parks Vacations. And a few other spots along the way. Tuesday, September 22, 2009. Mount St. Helen's-not a drive by. The drive to the Johnston Ridge Obsevatory Center is about 1.5 hrs but worth the diversion. The ranger talk, exhibits and theater presentation were very informative and gave us info we didn't know about the erupton so many years ago. Petek, 20. december 2013. BAZA20 je bila glavna baza CK KPS in izvršnega odbora med drugo svetovno vojno v kočevskem Rogu med leti 1942 in 1944. BAZA 20 je ime za bivališče političnega vodstva, ki je bilo zgrajeno v globoki kraški vrtači med Červanovo cesto in koto 711m. Skupno je bilo postavljenih 26 barak. Jezerska gladina je na nadmorski višini 104 m, njegova površina je 592 km. V povprečju je globoko 3,2 m, največ pa 11 m. Voda je zaradi peščenega in plitvega dna zelo motna. Sreda, 18. maj 2011. Vreme je bilo letošnji Marinadi. Naklonjeno saj je jadralce v Izoli pričakal čudovit sončen dan. Tradicionalni dogodek v organizaciji Burin Yachting Cluba. Je potekal v soboto 14. maja, že osmo leto zapored. Regata Marinada je imela preložen start za 25 minut, vendar to ni vplivalo na razpoloženje 88 posadk. Šibak veter se je stabiliziral in regato je spremljal zahodnik, ki je kasneje z jugozahodnimi vetrovi dosegel 15 in v sunkih celo do 18 vozlov. Še zadnje priprave pred startom.
