Thursday, 10 March 2011. Raita with Masala rice. Curd or Yogurt- 3 tbspn. Onion-1/2 sliced into thin long slice. Coriender- 1or 2 strands chopped. Mustard and Cumin Seeds-1/4 tspn each. Curry leaves 3 or 4. Green chillies- 1 cut in peices(optional). Heat oil in a pan. Add Mustard and Cumin Seeds and let them splutter. Add curry leaves and green chillies fry for sometime. Friday, 25 November 2011. Maida - 1 and 1/2 cups. Thick Curd - 1 cup. Sugar - 1 cup. Baking soda - 1/2 tsp. Baking powder - 1 1/4 tsp. Cooking oil - 1/2 cup. Vanilla essence - 1 tsp. Lemon Juice of 1 medium sized lemon or lime. Sieve maida keep aside. Put sugar and curd in a mixing bowl and mix until sugar dissolves completely. Tuesday, 19 April 2011. Mushrooms- 200grms cleaned and chopped. Ginger-Garlic paste- 1 tspn. Garam masala- 1 tspn. Geera and dhaniya powder- ½ tspn each. Red chilli powder- ½ to 1 tspn. Turmeric- ¼ tspn. Oil – 3 tbspn. Cumin and mustard seeds- 1 tspn. Heat oil in a pan. Add Cumin and mustard seeds, let them splutter. Add ginger-garlic paste. Then add onion. Saturday, 19 November 2011. Non-Onion-Garlic Mixed Vegetable Curry. Vegetables of your choice(Fresh Peas, Beans, Potato, Panner, Capsicum, Cauliflower )– all together 2 cup Cleaned and boiled. Garam masala- 1 tspn. Red chilli powder- ½ to 1 tspn. Turmeric- ¼ tspn. Oil – 3 tbspn. Cumin seeds- 1 tspn. Freash Cream or Milk -1/4 cup. Grind tomatoes in a blender to make paste. Keep it aside now. Heat oil in a pan. Add Cumin seeds, let them splutter. Garnish with coriender and serve hot. Sesame seed snack bar.

Tuesday, 5 October 2010. 1 Cup Moong Dal. 7 cups of Water. 1 or 2 Green Chilli. 1/2 tsp Pepper Powder(Not Finely Powdered). 1cm Ginger Cut into small pieces. 1/4 tsp termeric powder. Mix Rice and Moong dal.wash and cook (Overcook them). Heat Ghee in another vessel or kadai. Put Geera, Ginger pieces, Green chilli,pepper powder,termeric powder. Tuesday, 31 May 2011. Tomato and Cheese Open Tart. Puff Pastry sheet- 1. Tomato sauce- 1 tbspn. Cut the Puff Pastry sheet into the shapes of your choice. Keep it on the greased baking tray. Spread tomato sauce onto the sheet on the baking tray. Now spread the cheese and tomato slices. Keep the tray in the pre-heated oven for 10-15 min at 200 deg cel. Links to this post. Spinach or Palak – 1 cup. Ginger-Garlic paste- 1 tspn. Garam masala- 1 1/2 tspn. Red chilli powder or green chilli- ½ to 1 tspn. Oil – 3 tbspn. Cumin and mustard seeds- 1 tspn. Wash the rice and soak them for half an hour. And cook the rice with 2-3 cups of water and some salt. Keep it aside so that it is cool.

Saturday, 9 April 2011. Groundnut or Peanuts chutney powder. Peanuts or groundnuts- 1 cup. Garlic- 2or 3 cloves. Coriander- 2 or 3 strands. Curry leaves- 5 or 6 leaves. Roast the ground nuts and let them cool down. Remove the skin off by rubbing with something flat. Put all the ingredients together in a mixer jar and grind it till fine powder.
