Nature, science, ecology, philosophy all in one place. October 15, 2014. We woke up to sun today. A wonderful change from yesterday’s thunder showers. Our trek to Khumjung only has us gaining less than 1000 feet in elevation to 12,300 feet. We got our first view of Everest today. In the larger wide picture you can see it’s pyramid on the left third of the photo. We went to the Everest View Hotel for tea. The photo is a reflection of the mountains. We arrived last night somewhere between 11 and 12:30 depending on what watch or phone or clock you were paying attention to. The 24 hour flight/airport sitting went well. I was actually able to sleep on the plane. I think I have met all the Trekkers and climbers on our trip but one person. Looks to be a good group. Today is money exchange and a bit of sightseeing.
