navigating the grey: February 2006
http://navigatingthegrey.blogspot.com/2006_02_01_archive.html
A community orientated approach to discussing the grey areas of life and learning to navigate them together. Friday, February 10, 2006. Is Jesus' Salvation Just a Ticket to Heaven? It seems that the most logical question after "Why am I a Christian? Would be "Would anyone else want to be a Christian because I'm one? Anyway, again McLaren has helped me to reflect on another topic. The topic of salvation. He writes a chapter entitled "Jesus: Savior of What? In his book Generous Orthodoxy. How are we to liv...

A community orientated approach to discussing the grey areas of life and learning to navigate them together. Tuesday, March 07, 2006. Again I am pushed to think by McLaren in Generous Orthodoxy. In his chapter on Anabaptists/Anglicans he talks about the need not only to fight against being nominal ("existing or being something in name or form but usually not in reality" - dictionary.com. This line of thinking inevitably forces me to evaluate myself. Am I nominal? Links to this post. John's blog - John.

A community orientated approach to discussing the grey areas of life and learning to navigate them together. Saturday, July 01, 2006. Response: Jesus vs. Church. This post is in response to a friend of mine who posted on the same topic a couple of days ago. Original: You Like Jesus, but not the Church? I once heard that Gandhi said "I like your Christ, but not your Christians.". How do Christians respond to this quote? Please note the sarcasm). But how should we respond? How do we deal with this issue...
navigating the grey: Alcohol-ism
http://navigatingthegrey.blogspot.com/2005/12/alcohol-ism.html
A community orientated approach to discussing the grey areas of life and learning to navigate them together. Friday, December 09, 2005. Alcohol is one of those very touchy issues in the faith of Christ followers. We seem to be unable to navigate this grey area. And as we consult the Bible looking for black and white answers they allude us. Here are some examples:. Alcohol in the negative - -. Noah's drunkenness and Canan's Curse. Lot and his Daughters. The Vow of the Nazirite. Don's get Drunk on Wine.

Saturday, March 31, 2007. Navigating the Grey Inport. I've imported a bunch of postings that I did on my previous blog, "Navigating the Grey." However, I didn't input the comments so if you want to read them you have to go to the original website: Navigating the Grey. Here's the new posts as they show up on this blog. They are posted with the original date so they don't show up at the top of the list. Why Can's I Own Canadians? Repsponse: Jesus vs. The Church. Is Jesus' Salvation Just a Ticket to Heaven?

Navigating the Gray
Monday, August 16, 2010. On our trip to Uganda's Queen Elizabeth National Park (QENP), we learned that five men were found dead in the park near one of the lakes. It was quite a mystery for the game wardens, since there seemed to be no causes for their deaths. There were no bullet wounds or trauma on the bodies, yet they had died during the night. Tuesday, July 27, 2010. My cousin doesn't believe that I'm actually in Rwanda for work, she keeps saying that I am on holidays.she has a point. I can't...We we...

A community orientated approach to discussing the grey areas of life and learning to navigate them together. Friday, September 08, 2006. I know this key chain has gerat potential to diminish the respect that some of you may have for me but let me explain. I recieved this as a gift from one of my friends who recently went to Cuba. Not knowingly they gave out key chains as a memorable trinket of their trip. This was the only one with such a profound message. I was the one who received it. Links to this post.

Navigating the Journey | living life with a learner's permit
Living life with a learner's permit. June 27, 2011. Originally called Cerrioats, Cheerios. Debuted 70 years ago in June, 1941. A technological marvel during that time, creative minds dreamed up Cheerios from whole grain oats and months of trial-and-error figuring out how to puff the oats. Through heating balls of dough, then shooting them out of a puffing gun at 100 mph, the puffed Os we know today were born. I love Cheerios, but my appreciation for them has grown stronger having a 9-month-old daughter!
