Aronson poses with a flapper-girl style in the 1920s. An African hair braiding shop in Brooklyn, New York now. The window bars of the hair braiding shop are adorned with Stars of David, showing the rich Jewish heritage of the area. Lafayette Avenue today, where Betty’s family lived approximately 75 years ago. Betty and Lou Aronson lived at 99-20 Northern Blvd.
