Thursday, September 30, 2010. Primordial (Below Heaven and Earth). The third track from Smear Campaign, Primordial, is probably the most complex of the entire album. It's name comes in two parts. First, Primordial came from the film Altered States, which I happened to be watching one day while working on the track. A pretty good film, I must add. Saturday, May 29, 2010. Who says ONE is the loneliest number? Last weekend was the party celebrating the first birthday of my twin. Niece and nephew, Ava and Aiden. They are the youngest children of my brother and sister-in-l. And are some of my favorite children in the world (along with their older brother, almost-4-year-old Ben). Lisa and I spent many hours planning, making decorations, and baking for these little sweeties. Gratuitous baby photo. And, just for fun, Benny boy! Sweets table - OMG yum.

Luckily for me, she decided to have me come along and act as her assistant. I also got a chance to play around with a camera, which was a really fun experience. I can recall countless hours spent at their house, laughing and playing games. Some of my favorite memories come from the camping trips we took each year to Otsego Lake, visiting Hartwick Pines (noooo! Mini-golfing (remember Grandma getting a hole-in-one.on the wrong hole? The light that day was tricky, going from behind clouds to super sunny in an instant! And since I'm still a newbie, it was definitely a challenge! These are my best shots of the day :).
