Lucas, Marla, Owen and Henry. Tuesday, October 29, 2013. We enjoyed some great beach time at Lincoln City. The rental house was huge, so Bob, Amy, and my dad joined for the two nights. Unfortunately, mom was sick so stayed at home. On Saturday, both Jill and Suzi's families joined for the day. Owen loved playing in the COLD waves. Henry was very happy hunting for rocks. The beautiful patio of our house. And two boys capturing the sunset pictures. Another day, another beach trip. Mimi loving up Owen.

Lucas, Marla, Owen and Henry. Thursday, May 22, 2014. We had another afternoon full of sprinkler fun with our neighbors. Tuesday, May 13, 2014. Lucas and Owen are becoming fishermen. It all started with a fishing trip that our neighbor Greg took them on. Lucas, Owen, Bob, Bruce, Zeke and Bailey all went out on the river to go salmon fishing. While there were no salmon caught, they caught plenty of sturgeon to release back. Everyone had a great time. It was COLD, and wet, but all three kids did great.

Lucas, Marla, Owen and Henry. Wednesday, April 30, 2014. Chicago: Monday, time to come home. Monday morning we woke to rain. Fair enough, it was time to come home anyhow. Lucas went downstairs and picked us up bagels to eat in our room. Waiting for our train to O'Hare. Walking through O'Hare, finding airplanes and our ride home. Owen was such a great travel buddy. I asked him what he wanted to be, assuming he'd say hair dresser, his normal replay for the past two years. But, instead, he said nurse. What could be better than running a 212 mile relay? Running a relay on a gay men's relay team. I spent last weekend with 10 gay men and Anne. It was a hoot. Anne and I laughed our bottoms off all weekend. We also listened to rave music for four continuous hours. We learned all about gay sex. The men were self deprecating, compassionate, and considerate. After a little break from the Portland rain and a fun visit, we drove home through Bishop, CA. This included one night camping and then some mineral collecting near the Bishop area. I put my skis on and started to ski to sydney's. Then I hit dry pavement. I do not give up! Instead, I would ski the waterfront. Wednesday, March 14, 2012. Max on the move. So, a disadvantage of having older children in the house is that we haven't been really motivated to but up some sort of gate to keep Max in the family room. It worked when we had Kate. However, I think I might go nuts if I had to move the gate every time Kate wanted to get through right now. So Max has quickly learned the skill of climbing up the 2 steps. He's very fast with it. Especially if he can find something to put in his mouth. First Day of First Grade.
