The house is tucked away in Bol’s quiet old town district to the west of the harbor on a slight hill, giving it great views over the town. Brac is the 3rd largest of the Adriatic islands and the closest one to Split. Bol is situated on its southern shore and is the oldest settlement on the island. It boasts a fantastic weather record with long summer days cooled by a westerly mistral. Spread out along the coast it is backed by Vidova Gora at just under 800m it’s the highest point in the Adriatic. This stunning backdrop and a variety of beaches combine to give Bol a very laid back atmosphere.

The Hochkonig ski area has over 150km of trails, 39 lifts and almost as many mountain restaurants. The runs are varied, challenging beginners through to experienced skiers, with some great off piste and tree skiing as well. However it still remains undiscovered by all the tour operators, leaving you and us our own winter play ground, with no lift queues! The ski piste is 50m from the chalet.

Just 10 mins drive is the village of Maria Alm, voted the prettiest villiage in Austria. Visit in the summer to see it in full bloom. The chalet is just over an hour from Salzburg, which needs little introduction. Why not spend a day there walking the old streets in the birth place of Motzart, or visit the numerous designer shops before relaxing in one of the traditional bistros.
