Chalet Maria is a traditional ski in - ski out Austrian Mountain Chalet situated in the small hamlet of Hintermoos between the town of Maria Alm and the village of Hinterthal, just one hours drive from Salzburg. The Hochkonig ski area has over 150km of trails, 39 lifts and almost as many mountain restaurants. The runs are varied, challenging beginners through to experienced skiers, with some great off piste and tree skiing as well. However it still remains undiscovered by all the tour operators, leaving you and us our own winter play ground, with no lift queues! The ski piste is 50m from the chalet.

Just 10 mins drive is the village of Maria Alm, voted the prettiest villiage in Austria. Visit in the summer to see it in full bloom. The chalet is just over an hour from Salzburg, which needs little introduction. Why not spend a day there walking the old streets in the birth place of Motzart, or visit the numerous designer shops before relaxing in one of the traditional bistros. This is the highest in Europe, 380meters from top to bottom. Ice Caves at Werfen.
