Patrick: NorAms 2010
http://patrickgoeres.blogspot.com/2010/07/norams-2010.html
Sunday, July 04, 2010. Today's race finished off a weekend of excitement, thrilling competition and even a touch of controversy. The organizers put on a spectacle with great courses through rocket-ship terrain, a buzzing arena and top notch competition. The American Team won the Bjorn Kjellstrom Cup for the 2nd time in 16 years, so we are hungry for a victory on the road in two years! Mikes outkicking you in the pic eh? Hahahahaha well done patrick. Well earned Patrick. Perhaps just like Tuesday nigh...

Patrick: Flying start to the spring
http://patrickgoeres.blogspot.com/2010/04/flying-start-to-spring.html
Thursday, April 15, 2010. Flying start to the spring. My domestic spring racing season started in Ohio last weekend with the Flying Pig. It's been a while since the last race, so I was eager to put my winter training to the test. I pulled off a win at each of the 3 races, so am happy with that.though results were only secondary goals! This weekend, I'm back state-side for a training camp with the CSU crew. The legendary Harriman State Park will be our playground for the next 4 days! World Champs - 38th.

Patrick: June 2010
http://patrickgoeres.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 26, 2010. Day 1 of the US Champs is underway. The racing is done, but that's only one small part of the day! I was getting the question - what does a race day on the road look like? It's always surprising how quickly the days slip by! Although the race is only a small part of the day, the rest of the day's recovery and training revolves around the race. Today was a 10:45am start. 745am Breakfast (3h before start). Oatmeal, fruit and good strong coffee works for me! 845am Off to the race.

Patrick: May 2009
http://patrickgoeres.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 10, 2009. Our Vancouver training group had some great results this weekend. Øystein and I had very good races in the Middle and Long. Louise had several strong races in the women’s class as well. I am very happy that the weekend went well for us. Hard work pays off. A few days at home in Van to recover will be followed by another big stint of travel. Several TCs, work and the Canadian Team Trials will take me to Kamloops, Canmore and Whitehorse over the next month. Stay tuned! Dare, Dream, Do.

Patrick: On target and aiming high
http://patrickgoeres.blogspot.com/2010/05/on-target-and-aiming-high.html
Tuesday, May 18, 2010. On target and aiming high. 8220;The greater danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it.”. Michelangelo (the painter, not the turtle). The trick now is to get to the targets faster, shoot just a bit quicker, but still hit them all. Still work to do, but we're on target! Training, recovery, mental training, race prep, ice baths, and a few new secret weapons start to fill up the days. The summer races are coming soo...

Patrick: Around the Bay
http://patrickgoeres.blogspot.com/2010/03/around-bay.html
Friday, March 26, 2010. After a big week with the official launch of ARK, today was day one of Around the Bay's Health and Fitness Expo. ATB is North America's oldest road race, and in a town with such great running history, we were looking forward to sharing our programs at the event this year. We looked pretty slick with our new banners thanks to Allegra's. Great work. Who wouldn't stop at such a good looking booth with rock star Kate MacNamara (2x ATB winner) there? Patrick: le Tour
http://patrickgoeres.blogspot.com/2010/06/le-tour.html
Tuesday, June 22, 2010. Spring is officially over and the weekend will kick off a long series of races on the west coast. My main goal of 'le Tour' is the North American Championships in Cranbrook and everything else is training and preparation for August. It's a fairly intense programme with lots of racing and travel, so it will be important to stay healthy and rested and keep the main goal in mind! August 8th-15th will be the big week. Here is the programme:. Sun, June 27: US Champs Long (Sprague, WA).

Patrick: June 2009
http://patrickgoeres.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 29, 2009. Don't stop pushing now. After racing the Blaze, I jetted back to the west coast for 6 days of orienteering racing in the Cascades of Washington. The Blaze was an amazing week, but I was left pretty tired after not much sleep and 150km of trail racing in 92h! I started to go a bit downhill after that and the weekend wasn't too stellar. I took it as good training and a good mental test. Now back in Van, it's time for a bit of rest before the final 7 weeks before the World Champs!
