wizard alert.: sacrebleu
http://wizardalert.blogspot.com/2008/06/sacrebleu.html
Just being myself like my mom told me to do in highschool. Wednesday, June 25, 2008. I just got a call at work and the Caller ID, said the location calling me was "Scientific Game." I immeadiately thought of ender's game and the boys zapping around battling in their anti-gravity chamber . . . anyways. It was just some poor schmuck of a telemarketer trying to press AT&T on us. No one of consequence: March 2007
http://unlikelylass.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html
No one of consequence. Tuesday, March 27, 2007. This is actually the smallest of the three pictures. I'm playing with different techniques of fiddling with the scans. This was drawn with the blue lead, then inked over the top with a normal pen, and then I grayscaled the scan. This was drawn with the red lead, and is actually the biggest of the three drawings in 'real life'. Also grayscaled. I still don't have the hang of adjusting my scans to look 'right'. Hurm. Ah well. Posted by Unlikely Lass. North Ce...

wizard alert.: The Harvest Moon is on the Horizon.
http://wizardalert.blogspot.com/2008/07/harvest-moon-is-on-horizon.html
Just being myself like my mom told me to do in highschool. Thursday, July 17, 2008. The Harvest Moon is on the Horizon. Today that to celebrate Natsume's game, Harvest Moon's tenth anniversary, yet another two Harvest Moon games will be joining the already-swollen ranks. I sat at work for the next thirty minutes, engaged in a debate, struggling in the pursuit of a for or against attitude to the new releases. What follows is the debate between my Harvest Moon shoulder devil and angel:. Devil: I can’...

This Week in Webcomics: June 2010
http://webcomicweek.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
This Week in Webcomics. Help, I can't shut up about webcomics. Monday, June 28, 2010. TGT Webcomics Interviews Snakehead Games. Hey, guys. I just wanted to cue you in to this interview between Kurt Sasso of TGT Webcomics. And Colin Ferguson of Snakehead Games. The podcast is a lively conversation about business, webcomics, and fun, and I thought you guys might like to listen to it. Incidentally, the "wonderful guy that [Kurt] met in Chicago" who told Colin about TGT Webcomics is me. :). Unlike most of wh...

No one of consequence: Doomed to repeat it
http://unlikelylass.blogspot.com/2010/05/doomed-to-repeat-it.html
No one of consequence. Monday, May 17, 2010. Doomed to repeat it. Some days, I just can't help but wonder what the hell I think I'm doing working with computers. I haven't got any formal training, really, and what formal training I do have is on portions of the abstraction stack that sit several layers away from what I'm paid to deal with on a regular basis. I keep seeing Bright New Solutions (tm) to the same identical set of problems. I keep seeing those Bright New Solutions (tm) having the same exa...

Dispatches from the Frigid Northlands: May 2010
http://dispatchesfromthefrigidnorthlands.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Dispatches from the Frigid Northlands. Don't Get Lost in Heaven. I had an epiphany just now, at 1:15 in the morning on the day I have an enormous amount of homework due. It relates to said homework, but I'll get to that in a minute. MMOs are not for me. Or rather, they appeal to me too much. And will be the death of me if I let them. I just canceled by LotRO subscription, because I was working on my huge backlog of geology homework, and I thought: why didn't I do this? What was I doing instead?

Dispatches from the Frigid Northlands: December 2009
http://dispatchesfromthefrigidnorthlands.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Dispatches from the Frigid Northlands. James Cameron's Avatar: RAAAAAGEPOST. Blah blah blah, haven't posted in forever, turns out Lord of the Rings Online is the MMO for me. It's great, go play it. ANYWAY, I went to see James Cameron's A V A T A R. Tonight, and it left me in a bad mood. So get ready for an extended rant. Spoilers ahoy! The plot is. ugh. Killing animals if they can avoid it. Use bows and arrows and simple knives, run around practically naked, talk about being connected to a great spirit a...

There and back again: a Token joke for a Bike blog: June 2009
http://bujiatangbikes.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
There and back again: a Token joke for a Bike blog. Thursday, June 18, 2009. Apparently the VW 1.8T engine has a bit of a design flaw. As we have been having problems with rough idles and stalling. Having checked the engine over with diagnostic equipment and listening to the motor the coils on cylinders 1 and 3 were found to be the culprits. two coils replaced and everything is peachy. Saturday, June 13, 2009. I have managed to sell the Murray. Slightly below asking, but not so I was hurting. So we took...

There and back again: a Token joke for a Bike blog: April 2011
http://bujiatangbikes.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
There and back again: a Token joke for a Bike blog. Sunday, April 3, 2011. So we're thinking about some bike camping in the mountains of Montana, and I'm thinking about putting racks on the Instigator. "Wait what," you say. "that has no braze ons for racks" you say. Yes The Instigator has no handy braze ons for racks or fenders (yes there is an eyelet where nothing can reach, for all the good it is). So now I need to figure out a way to pack my half of the gear on a bike without any way to bolt in. Lemon...

There and back again: a Token joke for a Bike blog: November 2012
http://bujiatangbikes.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
There and back again: a Token joke for a Bike blog. Sunday, November 4, 2012. Once more but with feeling! Early this summer I bought a 1x1 frame set off craigslist. Specifically I bought a Race Face crankset with a Surly 1x1 frame set attached to it. The plan being, upgrade the crankset on my 1x1, and sell the frame set for what I had into it back on cl. Oh the plans of mice and men. So with a heavy heart I said goodbye to the crankset and we started collecting parts. Geared at about 2.15x1 the bike ...
