No Longer An Orphan. January 17-24 2013 bonding trip. His real name is Djeeby but he prefers to be called by his nickname Robinio (after a Haitian soccer player, and he loves to play soccer). The trip was amazing! We all bonded so well together! He can’t speak English yet but we still managed to communicate just fine. Reflections beside the pool. Robinio loves this big wheel! Midlaine and Baby V. Gettin’ schooled on Mitchella’s hair. The finished product….twists! Doin’ Midlaine’s hair.

No Longer An Orphan. There’s not much to update for now, except we’re going to Haiti July 23-27 for our first court date and to visit Midlaine. We can’t wait to see her! I think about her all the time and I feel like so much time is being lost. She’s growing up before my eyes. I just have to be patient and trust God that she will be here in His perfect timing. No Longer An Orphan. Posted 5 years ago. We obtained all of Midlaine’s paperwork from the orphanage that first day; then we headed to the hotel. The next day we received word of a tuberculosis scare at the orphanage and that they weren’t letting any of the kids out for the current bonding trip. Midlaine had been tested and was negative but Mitchella and Robinio are still awaiting testing. We are trusting God that they’ll be fine. Midlaine was now a US citizen! Midlaine was finally home!
